with 1 NCAA and 1 NIT. One was fired and the other was forced to resign. McMahon is currently 44-47 (with more L's coming), no NCAA, no NIT, no clue, and he gets a vote of confidence from Woodward. WTF?

Johnny Jones took a team with 3 future NBAers on it to Columbia, Missouri and lost to a team coached by Kim Anderson.

Johnny Jones had one of the most talented rosters we've seen in a long time and missed the NIT in a down year in the SEC.

Thanks for bringing up that memory.

Looks like MM is right on track to be fired in 1-2 more seasons.

Jones should have been fired after the Ben Simmons year when he totally lost control of the team. There was no getting past the total loss of respect for the head coach that resulted that year, and the fact that they brought him back was unfortunate and the results predictable.

The situation now is not apples to apples, but I do see the fears of some that there's a similar vibe that this probably won't work either, so what are we doing?

Woodward doesn’t care about MBB

We already knew this

McLoser is the worst head coach of any sport in LSU history and he’s coming back next year. Deal with it.

McMahon just isn’t going to win here. Woody can keep making excuses and trying to prop him up but it’s not going to work. At some point you have to be able to coach the actual game and he can’t at this level.

If ever a coach was set up to do well at LSU, it was Jones, but boy it didn't last long.

LA kid, played and coached under Dale, incredible roster....only to crash and burn.

Yeah, I don't think many people outside the inner Dale/Temple posse that basically forced the hire thought he could be an above average head coach here...even some folks I know who are very close to Johnny.

Teams play hard even when they lose by 45. We are at a $17 million NIL deficit per my sources on the rant.

Piss and moan all we want but the PR campaign to bring him back has already begun.

Might even get 2 more seasons with him because the bar is so low, any improvement can be pointed toward and say “see! Look what he’s building toward now that we’re giving him resources !”

That’s just ignorant and purposely ignoring facts. Also are you 8 years old with the constant name calling? One day you might try adulting.

We get it.

It is what it is.

Woodward honestly may have just tied his job to the footballs team's performance next year.

If they finished unranked again and not even in the playoff discussion in November but you can't fire the coach due to the contract- then Woodward is likely the head that rolls.

Fair or not. Women's basketball loses 10 million a year because no one really gives a shite about it. You can't fail spectacularly in both football and basketball. One of them has to win.

Woodward freaked up bad. Like 95% of us would be fired for making such a poor decision in the real world.
