This transaction can be dated.
That date can confirm or put to rest a lot of the speculation in this thread.
My guess is that it shows the payment had nothing to do with player signing here.

Funes was a "booster." This is classic "SMU" crap. It is LSU's responsibility to ensure these things do not occur. Schools can no longer throw their hands in the air and claim "they did not know."

Well then, tonight I’ve decided to become a Bama booster. Think I’ll send Tua a few grand, then let the NCAA find out about it.

See the gap in your logic?

Alexander was all SEC and AP second team All American. You have some pretty high standards if you don’t thinks that was money well spent.
He wasn't that good.

So it sounds like we just have to use the cam Newton defense. Vidal's dad acted alone and Vidal "didn't know about it."

No football program will ever get caught doing something “SMU bad” ever again.

Just stop with this hyperbole.

I honestly wonder if people even know why SMU was so egregious or if they just say death penalty at the first hint of possible misconduct.

Except the NCAA closed that loophole right after and because of his case.

My only question is why you would do it like this? Paying off the families with cush high paying jobs is the norm and within "the rules" apparently. So why expose yourself to a criminal investigation?

Literally 0% chance Les didn't know about it.

I think the HBC knew that some players were paid but just not exactly which ones.

If you start a GoFundMe for Alabama football players, I’ll donate $20 to it.

Honestly the best thing LSU has going for it is the fact Rohan’s family was picked as well AFTER his playing time at LSU

What was the timeframe for the Vadal's father's payment?

Who is JP hushing for is what we need to know. He certainly didn't cook up this scheme as he doesn't contain the networking capabilities on a personal level. Yeah jets and high salary and all...he's not clever enough to do whatever has been done.
