Taking the air out of the ball my arse..you realize they only gained more than 18 yards on a drive once in the second half and only had one drive over 2 minutes lol..Ed o was playing not to lose which he must of learned that from Les

actually, he’s wrong. The Tigers were much more dominant than the stat sheet shows.

It was 33-3 in the 4Q. We scored one defensive TD and had one other pick. It's not like we had 3 pick 6s in the game. That's how this team is built, smothering defense, a surprisingly good kicking game, and just enough offense.

So yeah, I think a 30 point lead is pretty damn dominant

What's your point? You're basically just repeating what I said. We did nothing offensively in the second half.

Like LSU did? Yeah, no shite it would be a different game.

He's right and wrong. No, LSU did not dominate the stat sheet, and yes 3rd down was not pretty.

However, LSU's offense did put up 26 points and that was with failing to convert several red zone trips into TDs and essentially shutting down the engine midway through the 3rd quarter.

People who watched the game saw a Miami team that had half it's players quit before halftime. I don't really care what the stats are, that's dominating your opponent.

We wouldn’t have beaten them by so many points if we hadn’t scored that many more points than them.

And that's really Klatt's problem. He sounds like he didnt watch the game. If he did, he would have noticed a Miami team that knew they were beat after that second Brossette TD.

Miami was blasting blitzes at JB over and over again. The LSU offense flipped the script on Miami by putting big rushing numbers on their D.

Given the throwaways and near-miss incompletions, JB and the WR's did a solid job in an opening game against a very good Miami team.

LSU would have looked MUCH better against a cupcake (like Klatt's Colorado).

well LSU in victory formation with over 1 1/2 minutes left in first half says a lot. AND I DIDNT LIKE IT. We had them defeated emotionally at that time. Should have let Burrows use the 2 minute drill and tried to score. plus got ball back in 2nd half and score again and lights out even on garbage TDs. Tigers went to prevent offense in 3rd quarter so offense output on stats is very misleading

LSU looked really bad both offensively and defensively. LSU’s not scaring anybody with that offense.

You can say that, but the offense put up 20 points against what is supposed to be a good defense in the 1st half. They might not be scary, but that defense is (Miami had 3 points after 3 quarters) and with just an efficient offense, they could be tough to beat.

Yup and were still up by 30 going into the 4th quarter............. Can you imagine how much they would have been up if they have made 11-16 3rd downs??????

This was my biggest takeaway from the outcome and this has me excited about the ceiling of this year's team

This and our red zone effectiveness is a little worrisome. The rest of his comments are stupid. Miami made a season last year on turnovers, but suddenly we shouldn't count them?

Why is everyone so butthurt?? If you watched the game he's not to far off..

To say he wasn't very impressed when the game was over at half against a team that 85-90% of the media picked to win is pretty ridiculous. We were dominating their offense so much that I felt bad for the QB because he was getting nailed on every play in about 2 seconds. It was impressive looking.

LSU's field goal kicker nailed 4 field goals, tied a school record with a 54-yarder and was an SEC Player of the Week. The other kicker had 5 touchbacks. Our long punter averaged 46 yards per kick and LSU gave up 0 punt return yards. Jacob Phillips was SEC co-defensive Player of the Week in his first start. Nick Brosette had 125 yards rushing and 2 TDs and had more carries in the game than he had the entire year last year. And Burrow, in his first game with this team at LSU with many new players on offense still quadrupled the QB rating that Miami's QB had. All pretty impressive to me on top of winning by 16.
