This game was 27-3 at half and LSU kneeled with the ball to run the clock out at half. It was 33-3 in the 4th quarter with LSU's 2nd string D in. If anything, it was worse than the final score suggests. Anyone who says otherwise didn't watch the game or is a complete moron like Joel Klatt.

Stats can say whatever you want. I'm skeptical about parts of the win, but being up 33-3 with 19 minutes left in the game says dominance.

Yep. And it's an important point you made about how having great field position can make it seem like the offense wasn't moving the ball when you simply look back at the total yardage in a vacuum.

I love how people love to take away turnovers and say "it would've been different". I'd love to go back in time and remove all of our mistakes! We'd be the best damn team ever.

Seriously. "Imagine if the other team scored more, we could have had a completely different outcome."

He's one of the top 2 or 3 color analysts in college football.

He also didn't watch this game or is a moron despite what you think of his color commentary. It was over at halftime and LSU just basically ran the clock out from there.

I don't think he actually hates the SEC. The SEC just isn't affiliated with the network that cuts his paychecks. Consider the source when you hear his opinion.

He's really good calling Pac 12 games.

ETA: I would similarly discount the former Bama QB ginger kid if he were talking about the Big Ten, but I think he's good talking about the SEC.

Good thing that's not how they keep score in football!

Comments like this annoy me. So you pick and choose stats to take out of the box score to fit your narrative?

Well what if LSU was 8 for 16 on 3rd down how different is the game? What if LSU doesn’t give up a 50 yard pass and a 30 yard pass back to back? What if LSU doesn’t let Miami convert a 3rd and 25? All those things happened in the game and you can’t just take them out.

Literally the opposite, though. LSU was MORE dominant than the score would suggest because of garbage points and conservative playcalling.

well one of their penalties was encroachment on 4th down, and one of their turnovers was a pick 6.

so yeah...if Miami wasnt penalized 10 times and didnt have a pick 6 then maybe its more exciting. sounds like he wants to say that Miami isn't very good.

Because LSU just ran the ball into loaded boxes the whole 2nd half.

We were 2/9 in the first half...

What about Miami's stats?

It's not like they match up with a win

34 rushes at 2.4 YPC

QB completed 42% of his passes with 2 INTs, one going for a TD

Penalties aside, that isn't going to win any ballgames.

Bottom line is LSU made the splash plays. Miami didn't tackle Brossette. Rosier threw the ball to our team. The couldn't check justin jefferson. Burrow outsmarted them on numerous occasions. Everything we did compared to them lines up to a W.

1/7 from the second half is almost twice as bad as 2/9 But Yea, we need work on converting 3rd down.

No doubt. We absolutely dominated Miami but the 3rd down conversion rate should be noted. Especially when you take into account field position, we’ve gotta get into the end zone more.

I'm not worried about his sub 50% completion rate based on some of the throw it away decisions he made.

I didn't like completely going into a shell on offense in the second half though.

I was excited at half time. I did not expect us to be up on Miami by 24 at half. But the second half (especially on rewatch) LSU looked really bad both offensively and defensively. LSU’s not scaring anybody with that offense.
