That said, it is a sad state of affairs when we spend as much on collegiate athletics as we do in this country. It's not about the money going to education, and moreso just the absurdity of it all.

Bob Mann is awful, worst professor I had at LSU.

Our final exam had a written portion about what you would do if you caught a political opponent cheating on his wife. Odd.

He teaches political communication and is so far left that it’s scary.

He graduated from Ohio State and is pursuing a MBA from LSU.

Burrow is also not the kind of person to use as an example of student athlete. He clearly went to college to play football and not to get an education. If he cared about his education in reality, he would not have left tOSU. Instead it was all about football.

Nonathletes transfer all the time for every reason under the sun.

Why? I have no issues with Burrow's point of view, but let's stop with the charade of calling it a student-athlete system.

When it comes to certain sports, it is rare to find an actual student-athlete. By that I mean a player really focused on both. This goes for football, basketball, baseball, etc.

The reality is they should just stop being a part of the university and become professional minor leagues and be done with the charade. This isn't a knock on the kids doing it. They are in a system that is flawed. The system is the problem and has become so because of greed.

A Mass Comm professor can eat it. Football makes money, mass comm is an expense.

You seem to think education at OSU is light years ahead of LSU

Why can't he "care" about his education at osu and LSU?

...or maybe he was able to leave OSU and have two years left to play because he graduated in three years. And he's so far ahead in his graduate program that he only needs to take one class this semester. Sounds like someone who takes education seriously to me

No more absurd than the billions of dollars poured into the movie industry yearly

1) He graduated from OSU in 3 years while playing football. Athlete or not, that is impressive.

2) He is currently getting his masters at LSU. You show me a person who clearly doesn't va;ue school but will have his masters in only 5 years as a college student. I'll wait.

The Journalism building is arguably the nicest building on campus. They literally moved that thing brick by brick from the old campus. Its beautiful. And his office overlooks the main area like he is a fricking sultan. He can shut the frick up and fix the Reville.

I know that. tOSU has a significantly higher rated business school than LSU.

I told you, all the power to the kid. He left tOSU because he athletically wasn't going to be a starter on the football team last year. His decision had nothing to do with academics. That's my point.

Why are you even on this board, from the sounds of it you really have no use for LSU Athletes and Sports...maybe you should take these political views to the political board.
