All I can say is LSU better try this concept in practice against their own defense before using it against the likes of Auburn or Georgia or bama, maybe even Texass.

You think they’re not going to practice?

Yeah, no one thought of that before.

"That's an option, to go empty and go 4-wides, throw the quicks. Two of the times that we had protection, we had a chip on and Badara had help, but Joe held the ball too long. The receivers wasn't open so you bring up a good point and those are options," the coach said. "We can go empty, we can go 4-wides. It's less protection and we're taking a chance."

Jesus Christ that’s the quote you chose to try to show our DLHC’s thought process??

No it means fans justifying the bullshite we put ran on offense last year and pretending it was fine.

No, it means the “fans” who will make excuses for O even if the team loses games they shouldn’t and fails to make any noise or win hardware. Are you one of those?

I could never wish for LSU to lose unless it somehow helped our postseason positioning. Even in the worst years of Johnny Jones, I was still happy as hell when we won a game even though I knew a loss would have been better in terms of him being fired.

Did you expect the coaches to change offenses midseason?

bullshite.

When people expect the coaches to make wholesale changes to the offense midseason they are, in fact, idiots.

Ok, where are your passes dropped stats?
Not on a make-believe stats site that uses random posters' info as if it came from a college program statistician.

Drops are not an official NCAA (nor LSU) stat. The only drop stats that matter are on a Receiver's grade sheet, and those never go out of the WR/RB rooms that I've ever heard of.

At least it didn’t take 10 years to make the adjustment.

Calling Les Miles

Can someone please explain the thinking behind these kind of statements? I would hope that we should expect the replacement to Miles to be much better than him. What's the "at least he's not Miles" mentality and logic. Miles was justly fired and way too late IMO, just doing something a little better than Miles shouldn't be the benchmark at all.

Nobody was happy with LSU'S blocking schemes. If your tackles can't pass block it doesn't matter what scheme you attempt to use.

Incorrect. One of the advantages to running rpo’s is that your tackles aren’t asked to pass block in the same way. Ball comes out quicker and linemen fire off the ball as though it is a run play.

Quality OT’s are a necessity for a drop back/traditional passing game. LSU’s offense last year asked our current OT to do the thing they were worst at too often imo.

I don’t want a bunch of 5-7 step drops with our tackles.

I just had to hop back in and laugh my arse off at you. Don't know how many hours I wasted arguing this with your dumb arse last year. You argued in every single thread that it wasn't scheme. Now your beloved coaching staff tells you EXACTLY what so many people said all of last season.

And yet here you are still trying to defend your stupidity somehow.

Never change Ben.
