Let me guess you probably complained that we hired old Grandpaws didn’t you? He already has built a very good track record for being this young... How did all of these great young minds get started? BY DOING EXACTLY WHAT THIS GUY HAS DONE SO FAR IN HIS CAREER. Like I said if you can’t see potential upside here, and be excited about it, then you aren’t understanding football.
Last time I looked Ensminger is still the OC and Orgeron is still the head coach.
Those are the same 2 that put up zero against bAMA twice.
All I said was Will Wade is a head coach and was a proven commodity. Dave Aranda as a DC was a proven commodity- neither of them are “old” dumbass.
This guy may end up being good, but saying he is a homerun for a WR coach? What is his speciality? You use that for coordinators and head coaches not unproven commodities.

Ensminger is still the OC.
If Sean Peyton and Curtis Johnson think highly of him, then that should be enough said for everyone. Those two are some of the best offensive minds around.
And this is coming from a guy who gets called a negatiger on here.

Sullivan hinted where the offense was headed after he left

I'm as clueless as you are.. According to the link I'm posting at the bottom of my post, Payton/etc offered "ringing endorsements." Here's another quote from the link:"both Saints head coach Sean Payton and receivers coach Curtis Johnson gave Brady their recommendation when he interviewed with LSU for the position, as well as Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael."
I've been following this thread and I've read everything Google had to offer concerning Joe Brady/his hiring, but I can't confirm this RPO genius, Payton being pissed, should be a good recruiter/etc.
I do believe he was highly regarded. I did read the LSU staff thought he was sharp. He was very involved with Saints offensive preparations, and he does bring expertise with RPO offense (this doesn't make him a genius.)
I honestly love the hire, but I'm not able to confirm everything that's being posted. lol If someone has some info that I'm not seeing on Google, please share.
Here's the link:

Edit: I saw Mike D's tweet about him being recognized as a recruiter. Does that make him a great recruiter? I don't know.. Still loving the hire, though!

Seems like a low risk, but super high reward hire. Not going to call it a home run hire, but it is a hire that seems to be attempting to move in the right direction.
If this guy ends up being the real deal, it could pay off massively for LSU.

It's a small step. My problem is that I can remember when O stood in front of a throng of reporters and promised to hire the best OC in the country. This isn't it.
I can also remember last year when he hired Sullivan and Cregg and people talked about what home run hires they were going to be. They were going to solve all of our problems. The same thing happened under Miles.
LSU's offense is not going to take the next step and become a championship caliber offense unless and until we hire a good OC.

Nothing wrong with taking a wait and see approach.

Totally agree with you, Imber!
Not a very inspiring resume. So what if he was an assistant on the Saints staff (TE & QB coach), my guess is that if there was any teaching done, Brees was teaching him and not the other way around.
I'm not saying this is not a homerun hire; it may very well turn out to be - only time will tell. But everyone else on this thread is acting like Joe Brady is responsible for the Saints' passing efficiency. He's NOT! Drew Brees & Sean Payton had something to do with it too.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion right or wrong
All the pieces are in place to make a run next year.
