So remind me, wth does Joseph coach??

Recruiting top tier skill position talent. He has quietly been our second best recruiter on staff. He isn’t an idiot and knows the game of football

Appreciate the thoughtful response. You're one of the more reasonable posters here. I hope I'm wrong and this brings more meaningful change to the offense than I think it will.

frick man did you ever watch that offense?

Penn State had 6,000 yards of total offense in 2017

When is the last time we have had that?

Without question. Even when he and I disagree, he provides a very well thought response. He's definitely one of my favorite posters.

Good hire on paper. He could very well be the heir apparent to E if he proves himself. Definitely look forward to him helping improve the screen game.

Mickey is at LSU for recruiting and his NOLA connections. Nothing more. He is filling his role rather nicely actually.

I’m sure he will be well compensated but I can’t see Sean being pissed. Saints have had a top 5 offense for 13 seasons now. I’m sure Sean was happy to see him get a shot at LSU to make an impact.

I agree, for him to be a part of an NFL system at 28 and to coach for Sean Payton, I think there's some merit to what this guy brings to the table. The big question is, will O put total trust in him and run things he suggests and at certain junctures of the game also.

Does he replace Mickey Joseph? If not, why do we need two WR coaches?

Yes. This is the type of hire I've been waiting to see. No complaints from me. Can't wait to watch his impact.

Probably not, but no coach likes to lose a good assistant

The people touting this as a home run hire will be the same ones telling everyone to keep their expectations in check when they say we should go 11-1, win the SEC and compete for a NC. Apparently you're allowed to shower every decision O makes with praise as long as you don't expect results.

A home run hire is one which brings with it marked improvement to a struggling offense. Brady sounds like a good hire, but at the end of the day Ensminger is still the OC.

What a fricking joke! Mike Detillier. Really that’s the source? That dude is a farce and everybody including his one family. (Yes I know a family member)
I saw all that with Hills progression. Hill didn’t learn anything he didn’t know before going to the Saints as far as RPO.

I don’t really follow the Saints but I suspect they, and other teams, churn through those types of low level assistants on a regular basis. Seems like the kind of position where they put in some time, pick up what they can, and move on. Basically like a GA in college.
