And?

The point I was trying to make is Brady made a difference and IMHO the leap Burrow made very likely does not happen under Ensminger and his old system.

He rose too soon too fast. Needed to learn how to be an OC before taking over the role in the NFL.

Yep. He tried to run before he learned how to walk. Just think about what a crazy ride he's had in such a short time. Should've stayed at LSU and became the OC. In hindsight he knew he had to make the most of that opportunity after 2019. He knew he wouldn't look as good without the best QB in program history and one of the greatest WR corps ever assembled.

Burrow, CEH, Chase, Marshall, Moss, Jefferson and a damn strong OL won O a championship, the same one that Brady won. Without them O was a .500 coach. It looks like that without them Brady isnt even that. We fired won and wont to rehire the other?

E has at least shown some success without that cast of super stars.

Not relevant comparing OC to HC, but yeah, Saban was a bad NFL coach.

QB's grow with experience. Troy Aikman and Peyton Manning are great examples of tremendous growth between their first and second year.

Burrow just did not come out of nowhere. Go watch 2018 again, they were a 10-3 offense. The addition of Brady gave them the Saints understanding of coverage manipulation. Burrow was anything but terrible. And I have said it before Coach E had already started to implement more spread and RPO before Brady arrived. We where running RPOs by the end of the 2018 season, more shotgun, more single back sets, etc..

**Insert gif Burrow explaining to Georgia who's house they were visiting in 2018.

Stupid comment. Passing attack was atrocious prior to Brady.

I would really love to hear a coach give an in depth interview on why this continually happens. Saban is the best coach in college football today, yet couldn't make a splash in the NFL.

I would imagine one issue is that at college, the backup is right behind the starter in terms of ability. Whereas in the NFL there is probably more of a drop off. Especially at the QB position.

Saban left. Brady didn't even finish his 2nd season before he was fired

90% of you Momma Basement dwellers on this thread could have been the 2019 OC with the talent that team had (Burrow, Chase, etc.)

You are the first person to really mention the receivers on that team. I do believe Brady improved the passing plays with better route combinations, but I think Brady's greatest contribution was turning good receivers into first round pick great receivers. The hand work they did in the summer prior to 2019 was a key component to that offense's success.

This guy was a small part of everything that went right in 2019. Burrow and Ensminger played bigger roles. He is not ready for an OC job.

Exactly...............................

Some guys aren't made to coach NFL premadonna's, like McCaffrey has become, the same way Saban couldn't do it.

I thin he was throwing to two first rounders and third rounder if I'm not mistaken. Justin Jefferson (1st), Ja'Marr Chase (1st), and Terrance Marshall Jr. (3rd). Pretty good talent if you ask me. I could have called plays with that core

I'm not saying Brady is a god or anything, but have you seen Carolina's offensive personnel, especially their quarterbacks during his tenure?

Burrow scored 0 points vs bama in '18. Try again.

That had a lot to do with his Oline play for that game. Cush even admitted it as the impetus for their improvements in 2019.
