I agree

I'm not 100% Jimbo but at the time I thought he was a good alternative.
However, I think the Miles - LSU relationship is real stressed then and still today. It appears that since that dumbass Alleva screwed the situation up royally that Miles has been able to swing his big balls around with little consequence which has led to some good hires (Miles has always recruited well so the recruiting was expected). Now will that lead to wins, in time we shall see.

You do know that Bama brings back more than we do
I thought we were being realistic? Bama brings back talent, but not the experience. Not at QB where they will be starting a fresh never started a game or even played on the college level. Not in the run game where they lost their top 2 rushers (1st time that has ever happened under Saban at Bama). Not at OL, it's probably a tie. Not at DL, LSU brings back the entire 2 deep and only loses one from the entire roster here. Not in the secondary, LSU loses one out of the entire roster here.
Bama reloads, but they aren't bringing back as much experience depth wise or starter wise.

But you think no one has the table set better than us??
Nobody in the SEC West has the table set better. Nobody. We upgraded at everywhere on staff where we could (except OC). We brought in the best recruiting class in Miles' tenure and that is saying something. We now have 4 consecutive top 6 classes and have the 4th most talent in the country. We have the rare experienced QB in the West that only Ole Miss and possibly Auburn, if they decide not to go with JUCO JF3, can also claim. We were not gutted by the NFL finally bringing back experience and depth everywhere but LB.

I wish I could smoke the good purple and gold weed you folks do. Their lines knocked our dicks in the dirt last year. It was like varsity vs jr. varsity. They have recruited their asses off for the last several years so I kind of think they will have able replacements lined up.
No, I'm not ready to just bow down to Bama for next year, but can we at least get 4 or 5 games into the season until we start talking up our great experience advantage?
Posted on 2/14/16 at 9:22 pm to robins08
I'm here. We have done nothing to improve my confidence in the offensive scheme and production-same qb, same OC, same head coach who apparently meddles in the offense. The proof is in the pudding. None of the offseason hoopla has translated into one single win on the field. When it does I'll give credit where credit is due.

When the Tdroppings jock sniffers start posting their reports of how great the 7 on 7 drills are going and how awesome Harris looks in July, will you be happy. That kind of stuff along with the weight room reports in the off season always cracks me up.

Good God! You coonsasses are the most negative and gloomy people on the earth.
Every other fanbase in the country is looking at the positives and you people can only see bad stuff.
Maybe that new governor of yours ought to go ahead and cancel the football season and put you all out of your misery.
You guys are sad. A funny sad sometimes, but still sad.
I'm beginning to understand why Louisiana is an economic train wreck.

Go look at the stickied thread where the Craig announcement was made. Go find the other recent hire threads. Look at the recruiting board.
Its like 95% positive.
Now move on dumb arse.

No, sir. That 2011 defense will not be able to be duplicated.
I wouldn't quite say that. I think LSU has the talent to do that more often now and has the coaching.

Tell me this thread isn't typical.
Next tell me that this fanbase won't turn negative on him like you guys do to everybody.
It's funny reading all the doom and gloom you guys post after every WIN.
But off season? You guys can't be happy even then?

Now go look at the thread about the Craig hire. And go find the thread about the Juluke hire. And go read the recruiting board.
And if you are not a retard, you will clearly see that almost everyone is positive about these recent developments.

I'm trying to figure why this dumazz thread is even in existence.
Posted on 2/14/16 at 9:54 pm to Tigahbader
Because some arse licker has to start some kind of positiger or negatiger thread every day around here. It's part of the agreement or something I guess.

We don't care who you stuck with
We were blown out by 3 straight teams last year.
If we keep losing he'll be fired

Nobody is saying it will be easy and you're right, Bama will probably miss very little momentum going into next year. You can't debate that on paper LSU is more experienced than any team in the SEC though. When you add the freshman class coming in that has a plethora of athletes that can start day 1 LSU's only real challenge should be Bama. Of course it will not go that way we all know that. Ole Piss and Ar-Kansas will give us a challenge no matter how shitty they are.
Still, looking over our experience compared to the SEC, our talent level compared to everyone except Bama and our schedule...it's all setup nicely for us. If Miles can't win the West and likely make the playoffs he really is not the right guy for the job anymore.
Our concerns will be our young LBs starting, new OL starters and will Harris finally make the jump? Everything else is pretty much set in stone and we know what we have. LSU probably has the least amount of concerns and unknowns going into next season. Aranda can only be an upgrade over Steele since LSU had arguably a worse defense than Malveto.
You can't forget this team was hot until they were deflated going into the Bama game. Harris didn't play bad at all either until that 3 game skid.

I for one have stuck with Les through thick and thin , when there was talk of firing him and hiring Jimbo I was not for it . Now we win a bowl game , land a great recruiting class , and hire two great coaches and all of the negatigers seem to have vanished . What the hell ? Are the majority of these gutless individuals just children who are wanting to jump back on the bandwagon ?
You're a dipshit. Tell me one time during Les' tenure that you've seen a great deal of criticism in the offseason. You haven't. Because he's very good during the offseason. But let the season start and his complete and total ineptness loses 3 or 4 games we were favored in and all the gutless people you speak of will be front and center.

We're not going to find another Mathieu... He alone makes it impossible.
I am very excited about Aranda tho.

Fisher dug FSU out of the deep hole Bowden dug. Hopefully Les doesn't get to make a hole that deep & Fisher gets the ship stabilized.
People on here saying Les is "back" because he landed high school kids. He isn't "BACK" until we win CHAMPIONSHIPS.
There isn't no recruiting championship even if 247 sports makes a trophy for it (smh)

quote:Can doesn't mean it's anywhere likely to happen.
LSU can go 11-1 and not win the West. Miles wouldn't go anywhere idiots
The odds of that happening are astronomically low.
None of us here know the future.
Here's the present scenario.
Alleva is the AD in name only.
Miles (and his agent) know this and have and will use this fact.
Miles has extorted better money (at least) twice from LSU, he's no innocent waif.
Behind the scenes boosters will make the call on Miles' fate.
I personally like Miles, he's had a great racecar for ten years and he's been paid top five money to drive it and has brought home exactly one NC.
