Few reporters that went to practice mentioned Thomas went out with the 1st team. First day of camp, but I found that interesting

I know Thomas is a great athlete going into his 2nd year. He had that real nice blocked punt for a safety vs A&M last year

Given the lack of CB depth, they may be rotating a lot of safeties in and out this seasons.

Cooley at Nickel wouldn’t be a bad idea. It’s what he did at NC State, isn’t it?

We’re screwed after Pickett & Woodland

It's 1st day. Highly doubt he's the dabbled in starter. Was Cooley available today? Maybe they had him in nickel situations due to lack of CB depth.

No

Technically it’s the first 12 minutes of day 1.

We’re finally to fall camp and you’re bitching about fall camp talk?

I wouldnt put much into the first practice. Jhase will play but Lane said in his press conference they will rotate to promote competition. You will see different combinations of players with different groups. On that note, id really like to see Jhase grab on to a starting role.

We finally get some fall camp action. It’s early August on the rant. Should be a glorious time here

Cooley was a solid piece last season. If somehow Jhase took his spot that could only be a good sign IMO.

I’ll say this one time and then leave it be bc I will never condone this type of behavior. One of my biggest peeves on here is unwarranted hype/“sources”/delusional posters in the pre season. Having said all that:

SLEEP ON DEZ ELLIS AT YOUR PERIL.

He’s a dude and will surprise many of you early on.

Oh I’ve got big hopes for him and Finney. But yeah after the 1s, we have a lot of unproven talent at this level of play.

I heard that as Jhase got some reps with the 1st team, but it didn't sound to me like he necessarily got all the 1st team reps.

Jhase Thomas is that Laron Landry type safety we grown accustomed to. He looks just like him out there.

Jhase is 1 of only two players to have blocked a punt for us in the last 20 years. That alone should earn him an award.

Re Cooley...first day of camp. If you want to make sure everyone is in the right place, etc. that is the safety's job. Why not put an experienced Cooley there with the two's on the first day.

Was no.1 safety In LA out of hs in the 25 class. Kid can run, has good length and plays with physicality. Was always high on him excited to see he’s pushing for snaps in year 2

I like the freshman Isaiah Washington at safety.

Cooley and Spears will be playing in the slot at times. Both have experience playing in those spots with the ability to cover and fill gaps. I wouldn't read too much into it. Cooley has been working very hard with Ty Benefield putting in extra hours working out, catching jugs, and watching film. I'm not worried.

I can’t even begin to dissect how stupid of a comment this is

You don’t know shite about what’s after our top 2 guys.
