what was the point of the presser? an apology? an explanation?
he gave neither of these
And?

He's probably being careful with his words because he doesn't want anything that can be used against him to slip out
Then forget the presser

Why does that bother you?
Because a good leader can admit a poor performance and use it as motivation to improve. They don't just say "oh I did good" and call it a day. They seek that next level and work tirelessly to achieve it.

Selfish like I stated earlier. It is all about Jefferson. I wish he would have taken lessons from Lee on how to be humble.
Wow. If he were as selfish and self-centered as you think based on a few comments in a press conference, you would think that his teammates wouldn't be interested in supporting him or sticking up for him. Apparently they know something about the kind of guy Jefferson is that all of those know-it-all whiners don't.
I don't know Jefferson and know precious little about him other than what I have seen in watching him play football. But I am inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to a player who apparently has the strong support of his teammates, those who know him best, along with the coaches. I wish others would also give the benefit of the doubt to the LSU players who seem to be strongly supportive of him. At this point that should be enough for the rest of us.

oh, without a doubt. like this presser. he can't apologize. apologize to the fanbase, his team mates, his coaches, and let everyone know he's working hard to do whatever it takes to help the team. not tell everyone that you want to still be the starter and have a 20-7 record of winning games this is just mind blowing.
Why? I know he said he doesnt have to apologize to his teammates they were there, but come on man you think he just walked back on the team and hasnt said anything to anyone?
Why apologize to you or the media if he didnt do anything?

im just going by what JJ said. Have you not been following?
Sorry, should have been clearer, wasn't directing that at you, just referencing the quote.

Yeah it's NOT a team game is it?
That ranter is right but perhaps we should start taking losses away from JJ too. R-Kansas last year wasn't his fault. Neither was Ole Miss or Penn St in 2009. Auburn in 2010 was probably just as much on the defense as it was on JJ so. Alabama in 2010, we were up 15-10 before JJ got hurt and then the defense couldn't stop bama and the refs screwed us.
So sure we can take 2 wins away from JJ but then we take away those 5 losses and JJ is 18-4 as a starter.
And before people say i'm a pro-JJ guy, i'm a pro-LSU guy who can support more than 1 QB because i'm not an idiot.

WTF? Are you on the team? how in the frick do you know he doesnt work his arse off?
If he didnt he wouldnt be on the team, yall remember a guy named Chris Garrett? I bet you wanted him starting over lee and JJ.

oh god you're a true fricking moron, a real idiot

The one thing I can't stand about JJ is that he can NEVER admit anything he may have done wrong,
So it's personal to you isn't it? Really?

Why does that bother you?
Why are you and so many others personalizing this?
Why do statements like this make you angry?
How does this in any alter your way of life?
simply put, you want to think the leader of your team is awesome and likeable. When you cant admit mistakes or be accountable for you actions, it makes it kind hard. Im not saying JJ isnt accountable, but does seem to appear that way at times.

So how exactly does that impact you?
I haven't heard any complaints about his work effort. The coaches, who really really do know more football than either of us seem to be pleased. His team mates seem pleased to have him back. Why can't you just enjoy the season?

great, now he apologizes like ben roethlsberger instead of michael vick... i'm not sure that's an improvement
