So much shite is wrong with what you posted. This is actually a good thing that he is coming back. He had is issues, but he also played extremely well at times. He has shown he fan throw the ball, he just has to have the confidence to pull the trigger. You also aren't giving coach Kelly any credit, if JD5 struggles next year nuss and/or Howard will be right there ready to go. One of them will be the starting qb guaranteed for 2024 so they both arent going to transfer out.
The were issues this year (oline, nuss looking horrible against southern) that I believe forced Kelly to go with Daniels and stick with him. That won't be the case next year. Kelly came to LSU to win a championship and he is absolutely going to play the best QB he has. You are stuck in the Miles Era, believing there will be no in-game adjustments made.

Because he'll have an experienced Offensive Line?

JD5 beat Florida this year with his arm
Ok a 7 loss team ranked 91st in pass defense.
Again name a team where we needed his arm to win where we wouldnt have without his arm.... 0

Teams will adjust, he isnt new anymore to the sec. Defenses will adjust and force him to beat them in the air. Who wouldn't and absolute moron if you didnt.
They can give you all the DVs they want but the last 3 SEC teams we played already did this. They cut him off running and made him play from the pocket. I saw comments about he had 200 yds passing against UGA in first half but we only got 10 points out of it.
Many here let it run right over their heads that he will always be one dimensional...this isnt whats best for the future of lsu football.
2 pages thus far and no one can show me a game where his arm won a game or carried one of his seasons for him while playing qb. Zero! A 7 loss, ranked 91st pass defense fla gators dont count. If you need a passing game to beat florida this year, you are not good.

That’s true, albeit a hot dog shite bad defense that was absurdly stupid and played man.

The other 400 “I hate Daniels” threads weren’t sufficient?
Between the JD coming and Ricks not coming melts….it’s getting a bit hard to read this board.
It’s Really a weird sentiment that Daniels is the only QB in the world that can’t improve with another year in the same system, another year throwing to our route tree, another year to learn our WR core, another year to learn the tendencies of SEC coverages and blitzes, another year of growth, another year of strength and conditioning, another year of Joe Sloan….

Just wrong. JD will only get better. He has the tools to have a Cam Newton type year next year.
This is just an absurdly bad comparison on so many levels.

Do you people not remember Joe's junior year
And the. You throw in the is utterly stupid comparison to take the cake. Burrow started for the first time and got meaningful snaps for the first time in 2018. Daniel’s had three seasons of starting (30 games before this past season). They are nothing alike and JD5 has actually shown more probability that he won’t improve than that he will even become any better.

Les miles 2.0 in reference to the "dual threat" qb.
I think I know what you mean by “dual threat”. Jefferson was the only decent running QB we had under Miles. The problem under Miles was the QBs he recruited were just bad.

Thats project has failed a bazillion times at lsu.
Comments like this are so stupid but what ever you are talking about was different coaches, different QBs and different offenses so it is completely irrelevant. You also could have said the same thing about Alabama pre 2016 and Hurts Tua and Young have done just fine.

can’t improve with another year

It wasn't a huge statistical game vs Bama, but Daniels made an excellent touch through to Taylor between defenders for a TD and followed in OT with a 2pt pass to Taylor that was led just right to let him dive for the end zone.
I'm not going to pretend that I haven't been frustrated with JD's reluctance to throw, but he's shown the ability at times to make big plays. He's returning and if he wins out in the spring/fall I'm riding with JD.
The 2023 offense is going to be returning nearly all of its starters and adding a few more dynamic play makers. I expect them to be a dangerous offense next fall.

You’re talking about a QB who’s better than Joe Burrow, better than Jalen Hurts and better than Tom Brady. That’s what the Rant told me today so no worries, we’re going 15-0 with a maximum of 1 scare.

Do you have a link for that Nostradamus? Though if you pine for true “pocket” passers your Time Machine only goes back wards

The Offensive scheme will also evolve. We have some promising TEs coming in and if we can improve at RB we will be tough to handle.

Here is question number 2.
Since all you "people" compare jd5 to joeyb...ask yourself this. Ill also throw in other pocket style passers. Joeyb, Met, flynn, Russell(jr year), Davey(sr yr). Fair enough?
Who would YOU rather at qb right now?..
JD5 or Joeyb?
Nough said. Id take ANY of those guys(who can actually read a defense in the pocket) over jd5

I, for one, completely agree with your post. Facts are difficult for many on the rant.
