It's a fact that the last Democratic governor left a $2 billion surplus.
That "surplus" dried up when post-Katrina federal money dried up. Stop being so dense and, for the record, Jindal was a disaster of the first order, but did not inherit a surplus.

So, do you think it's just remotely possible that the Dems will remind folks about the accomplishments of this governor (meager, though they may be) compared to the utter disaster of the prior eight years of Jindalism?
And what will the GOP have to show on THEIR positive side of the ledger?

By the way, what those lost construction jobs are is the completion of all of the giant industrial facility projects which were put on the books when Jindal was governor.
The pipeline for those projects has dried up because of JBE's tax increases and the state's abysmal legal climate.
But please, feel free to tell me of all the success of our current governor.

How is JBE's regulatory regime with the red tape he puts out against the private sector?
Is it Obama level bad who JBE supported btw?

Is this where we also ignore the 250 million dollar BP windfall expenditure for Bobby's Berms off the coast, which now can be enjoyed only by divers? La. didn't need that money anyway...
There are so many positive messages for the GOP coming out of the last time it controlled state gov't entirely.

$250 million is peanuts. We're talking about billions of dollars spent on projects like those LNG terminals, Sasol in Lake Charles and the Bayou Bridge pipeline.
But that's economic development, something you wouldn't know dick about. And I dont want to confuse you.

That catfish arse (edwards) looking pile of shite supported obama. That’s all that needs to be said.
That and remember how that lying, crooked bastard held LSU hostage just to raise taxes.

The facts are Jindal saw a 1 Billion Dollar surplus only to have the Grest Recession hit in his ninth month in office. Jindal didn’t have money to blow through. His largest budget in his eight years in office was 2.8 Billion dollars smaller than Blanco’s last budget. Jindal’s budget decreased from his first budget of 28.6 Billion to his last budget of 27.2 Billion.
Call him what you want but he never spent what Edwards has spent in a year and its not close.
Edwards claim to fame is raising 1.2 Billion dollars in taxes to balance his budget and he still isn’t building roads and bridges either.
Jindal cut the budget some, but not enough. He left La. for personal glory. He set up Edwards to be elected. All that’s true, but Edwards only claim to fame is large tax increases and an expansion of Medicaid that La. can’t afford. Edwards has nothing to brag about except to say he’s not Bobby Jindal.
And is that a lot? “Hey, vote for me, I’m not Bobby Jindal.”

JBE brags about having a surplus of tax dollars while 1700 families lost a job this past year.
Over taxing the folks and running a surplus is his badge of honor.

I’m no JBE fan but if the republicans don’t get serious, pick one of the two (basically the stronger of the 2 weak candidates they have trotted out) and back him whole heartedly with money, support and media buys and the people of this state actually get out and vote rather than just post “he gone” on a message board you will be proven right.
And what people don’t seem to realize is the clock is ticking and a republican better het off his arse and make waves.

Well if you believe that then you wouldn’t want Woodward as your Athletic Director as he is as much a part of the old democratic machine and crony as anyone.

He is, but unlike these other clowns Woody is at least competent at what he does.

Why the hell did you ever vote for his dumb corrupt arse in the first place?
