What the hell is the obsession with "respect"
Posted on 8/13/26 at 11:42 am to tigerskin
Of course Ryan Clark is involved
when will LSU finally excise this cancer from the program? Literally, what positive thing has he done for the program since 2020 except sow division and blow up issues?

The cease-and-desist is not about the number itself or about DJ Pickett. It is about respect—and the process by which that number was ultimately given out.
I’d love to hear the about the process and the disrespect.
And can Ryan address the Daniel’s demand to have LSU remove the Heisman trophy?

Doesn’t necessarily stop at heismans. Dorsey, faulk, beckham, chase, jefferson, peterson, hodson. A lot of players could ask for their numbers retired.

LSU should be thanking Jayden more than Jayden should be thanking LSU

Jayden I’m thankful for what you did at LSU but believing we can use the number 5 is ludicrous and he needs to stop!

Hopefully this is something his mom is pushing him to do. For an NFL player to be worrying about this would be embarrassing

What's lost in the debate is that he had an NIL Agreement with LSU for 180 days after he left.
quote:If the agreement was for 180 days, there's nothing to cease and desist, the agreement has been over for a long time
If that is the case, LSU may not have upheld that part of the agreement. He has not asked for anything except for LSU to cease and desist from the Agreement he signed.
quote:What agreement?
I've heard plenty say kids should be held accountable to the NIL deals they sign when transferring, etc. But now, some have a problem with Jayden trying to enforce his NIL agreement?
Can you post details of this agreement adn whether it was for 180 days or still in place today? it sounds like you're making things up, but I'd be willing to admit i'm wrong if you post the details

One…frick that racist Ryan Clark…two… you don’t get respect by acting like this. If it was respect you really wanted you could have stated you understand the situation with one coach making a promise and another coach caught in the middle and would’ve taken the high road and allowed the jersey to be worn this season as a compromise showing how much you still support LSU, but you made it about you and now alienated your fan base and tarnished your own legacy you built at LSU that will never be repaired now…

There is a time and place for the retirement of Jayden’s jersey.
And if they change the rule, I'm not sure now that they can even do it. Wouldn't be a great look to retire his jersey to a chorus of boos, which absolutely would happen as it stands.

I wish we could send him a Cease and Desist. Stirring up shite behind the scenes as usual

If we had a half-assed middle of the pack defense that year then Jayden would be a National Champion
No way with any certainty that you could possibly 100% know this...

True but it's certainly not a stretch.

Remember when Travis Daniels burned his redshirt in the SECCG to beat Tennessee and help launch the golden age of college football?
"I play for the name on the side of my helmet; not the name on the back of my jersey."
Obviously different Daniels families. Jayden could take a lesson from a solid Tiger like Travis.

LSU was bigger than JD before he got here and it will continue to be bigger than him now. Get over yourself kid....

It seems people who are always using this word don’t know what it means.
