Putting him and Joe's seasons side by side should recruit any QB in the country at this point.

Yeah, awards like this make it harder to develop NEXT season's QB. This sucks for Nuss.

Doesn’t mean he will win the Biletnikoff

Exactly. These awards get a lot of regionalized votes. There was no major candidate from the midwest so those voters put Harrison on their ballots.

As for Nabers and and Odunze, each had a major Heisman contender on his own team, so people in the south and northwest weren't tagging those guys for Heisman.

For the Biletnikoff, it will truly be a showdown between the 3 WRs and if people dig into the numbers, Harrison is least likely to win it. I'm not saying he won't win it, but he was always more likely to be 4th in the Heisman/POY votes than first in the Blietnikoff.

Daniels received 35 of the 51 first-place votes and 130 total points from AP Top 25 poll voters. The Heisman Trophy finalist finished comfortably ahead of Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who was second with 15 first-place votes and 97 points.

Oregon QB Bo Nix was third, with Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison fourth and Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II fifth. Nix received the other first-place vote. USC QB Caleb Williams, the 2022 AP Player of the Year and last year's Heisman winner, did not receive votes this season.

“ Daniels, Penix, Nix and Harrison are the finalists for the Heisman, which will be presented in New York on Saturday. The winner of the AP award has differed from the Heisman winner just twice in the past two decades.”

Suh won in 2009 (Mark Ingram Heisman)

Christian McCaffrey won in 2015 (Derrick Henry won Heisman)

Josh Heupel, Brad Banks, and Rex Grossman are some others just outside of 20 year window.

this proves how inept these media tools are.

just like the mainstream media, lazy in their profession and bias. so much so that they are blind by it.

politicians operate as a closed nit society and so do the media.

Two guys who had good, but not remarkably dominant seasons relative to the other finalist. They just happened to play for one of the best teams that year.

While Daniels's passing numbers are similar to that of Nix and Penix, the differentiating factor is he did that AND had all SEC rushing numbers to go along with it. Daniels is a top 25 RB...before you even factor in a single passing yard.

As the dust starts to settle, it's looking more and more likely that not only will Daniels win the Heisman, but that the vote won't be particularly close.
