Needed to win or lose with the freshmen. Not two batters who can’t find a hard foul ball

I wouldn’t say that about yamin, he helped us at Tennessee, and always makes contact… yorke on the other hand couldn’t fall out a boat and hit water

already wishful thinking to be hopeful for a sec tournament run but Schmidt and Serna injuries were the nail in the coffin officially for me.

Yamin has struck out 18 times in 49 plate appearances (37%).

BMTiger: just the opposite, he was pinch hitting the bottom of the lineup to give us a fighting chance. Go check the batting average for the game for the bottom half. We severely missed Serena and Brown in the lineup.

Not really. Minus the players moving on to the draft everyone on this team equally sucked

I’m pretty sure he waved the white flag when he called out his own roster construction.

As a coach if you’re gonna go that far with public comments you know there’s little to know chance of the season being salvaged.

Nah, just like Coach Bergman said when they lost out in the CWS one year with a stable of pitching - I didn’t come here with a plan to win one game, we have a plan to win a championship and that plan requires everyone to do their job.

Exactly. He also immediately started playing the young guys and stuck with them for the most part, which is a decision that I think will pay off in the long run. He may not have truly “given up” but he definitely understood it wasn’t going to turn around.

Every team has, had, their share of injuries this season. In LSU's case I don't believe any SEC team had more impactful injuries than LSU with pitching and offensively.
Those that have followed our Tigers this season witnessed this factor.
A month ago Jay Johnson admitted he made my mistakes in putting together the 2026 rooster.I'll judge Coach Johnson on the performance of the 2027 rooster he puts together in the future months.

***I'm happy to see and know players like Jake, Derek,Monster, Stanny, leave LSU wearing a National Championship ring.

I completely agree with this. Things will be improved next year.

Won't take much to improve from the '26 record.
