Some of you guys think the world of this guy, but the roster he fielded this year was not much above average.

Did you pay any attention to what the coach had the previous year and was required to replace?
What he did with the “not much above average” hand that he was dealt was impressive.

I know. Some of our fans can’t possibly comprehend why we can’t perpetually field the best team in the nation.

The talent we lost after last year was staggering.

I don't know why some of you take this guy seriously.

He constantly makes an arse of himself in baseball threads.

I believe Braswells average at SC was around the same. Hoping Stanfield can make the same improvements.

So we traded Dutton for Stanfield? Do we have to name a player later?

Exactly. I think that’s the point being made

He's draft eligible and may never see campus.

Some of you guys think the world of this guy, but the roster he fielded this year was not much above average. Our hitting sucked against good teams. Our approach at the plate lacked a sound strategy. We had two starting pitchers. Bullpen was OK at times but had too many stretches of guys' not beiing able to throw strikes. How many 3rd game losses did we have due to lack of quality arms? No one even close to qualifying as a real closer.

This guy Stanfield hit .276, 4 HRs, and 25 RBIs which is absolutely nothing to be excited about unless he's being broiught in for outfield depth. We are not recruiting on the same level as Arkansas, Texas A&M, Florida, and Tennessee, plain and simple.

And yet some of y'all can't help, but crap on the man. The team could have quit, but finished strong and were 2 outs from hosting a Super in which I think they easily make Omaha. During a down year.

Tell me again how Braswell worked out at the plate? He raised his batting avg like 70 points. Nobody expected that.

Can't wait for April when some posters who don't follow the sport complain that this dude doesn't have 15 home runs and 20 stolen bases yet.

They did it with Braswell.

I hope with Larson, Brown, Milam and now Stanfield we can see LSU be a more complete team and run the bases better.

Larson?

We have no power. Do we even have a 10 HR guy if jones doesn’t come back. We’re trending towards being built like Kentucky. ??
