Not everyone wants the most cash possible. Some want to take less to pay their assistants. During some point in their career, a person just feels as though they have made enough money. They realize it doesn’t take you much farther in life especially when you currently have a decent cash flow coming in.

Unlike Jay Johnson, Tony V spends "extra time" in Tennessee AD's office earning that raise... giggidy

Laughable considering half the threads on this board are posters crying about Tony Vitello.

horseshite - pay the man. Besides, the 2x CWS champ head coach at LSU should not have to make salary trade-offs for assistants. Pay them all.

I always figured the big coaches preferred bag money to avoid taxes anyways. If the players were getting it before NIL why not the coaches too?

No, Vitello needs a pay cut.

Peak Rant is people trying to say what the AD needs to do with its money when they have no idea what the financials look like for the athletic department. People here feel the need to have an opinion about shite they know nothing about. I'm sure Jay will get a raise, but sometimes yall need to just stfu and accept that you don't know everything.

Be patient. Any Tiger coach who wins a natty normally gets the top paycheck in the conference and the nation.

Absolutely. Let them know we think you deserve a raise and more paid vacation time.

If he truly loves LSU, he wouldn't want a raise to match TNs coach. Maybe a small "good job butt smack" kind of bonus, but from what I read on here he is all LSU foreva eva. If so, no need to worry about him ever leaving. Especially for money. Just invest in building around him to make it easier for him to continue to win.

And now you know why they need to put advertising on the field and jerseys.

Yeah, I think there are about three people like that in America.
