Jay Johnson mentioned on Mikie's podcast that if you are planning on going to scrimmages

this is the weekend to go for the Team Jamie vs Team Wanaka drafted rosters. The Purple and Gold World Series will be two shorter games the following weekend.
Some of the top pitchers will or have been shut down for remainder of fall (ones that he has seen enough of in the recent ULL and Samford scrimmages), so look for some of the other pitchers to get most of the work.

May Jobu, Allah, the baseball gods, Yahweh, Buddah, and Jesus Christ be with our team's elbows this season.
Amen.
Amen.

How about LSU not coming out 3-12 in conference play this upcoming season. It’s bad enough that prick at Tennessee won a national championship last year.

You tryin' to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?

Jared Jones is learning, I'm sure Jesus can too.

I recently was telling my wife (who was not entertained by the discussion) that I think it's a truly sad indictment on our society that barely anyone picks up my Major League quotes anymore. Not talking young people that hadn't seen it, I'm talking people in their 40s like me but have just forgotten.
Sad.
ETA:
It was actually Major League, Coming to America, and Airplane. Three I quote quite a bite.
"Juuuuust a bit outside" is very much in my vernacular and has so many uses.
Sad.

It really is a travesty.
Hell, I used "they're shitty again" in an Asian accent just this past Saturday

In a parallel universe we are likely friends.

I prefer the "Dynamite drop-in Monty"

Damnit, now I'm going to rewatch ML 1&2 this weekend. Maybe even three, just for some Walton Goggins, even though its terrible compared to the first two.
I laugh so hard when Monty delivers "Fly ball....caught".

ML 2 is an injustice to the original

He may acted like a prick on the baseball field. But I can tell you he's a cool guy off the field.

Interested that he admitted to Mikie the 2024 offense was HR or bust
TRant denied this the entire szn

It’s probably because you look like a banker in this

definitely think Jay will have this offense more versatile
on top of that the defense with Curiel and Stanfield should cut down on some runs as well assuming both are in the lineup
