Not a piss poor one. Use your comprehension skills bro. I never once said any coach is better than the other. I basically proved that someone saying "one coach is the best coach in America" isnt an accurate comment to make and I gave basic proof why.

smoke never won a title but he got to omaha

Jay got 2 yes but that doesnt make him a better coach than those mentioned.

Bianco got a title and I could sit here also and say none of these guys missed the post season 3 years in a row cause none of them did. You know who did? Take a guess. Am I saying Jay isnt a good coach, certainly not but he isn't the best coach in America. Win 5 titles in 10 yrs then maybe. Jay isnt any better than any other coach of a successful program. 3 men in college baseball history could be in that convo and it ain't Jay nor anyone else not named Skip, Rod or Augie.

he’s never missed the postseason 3 years in a row and it’s dumb you’re trying to add the Covid season to prove your point. But if you wanna play that game Bianco has missed the postseason 6 times! And possibly a 7th if he doesn’t get lucky with a rainout for his championship team

2 in 4 years is just as impressive if not more in this era of baseball with NIL and the portal/roster turnover than 15 teams caring about about the sport during Skip era.

literally only one other coach has the same amount of titles as him, and that was before the NIL/Portal era took away his little loophole advantage with the 11.7 scholarships. You’re too dumb to argue with.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Skenes was known more for his hitting than his pitching at Air Force. Jay and Yeskie turned him into the best pitching prospect maybe ever.

2026 featured the worst pitching staff in modern LSU history

I like Jay. But before season he said that this was the BEST OVERALL pitching staff he has had at LSU. But this made him look like a used car salesman.

So, aside from championships, what makes a great coach? And what do those others mentioned do better than JJ?

This is not argumentative; I just want to see what your metrics for a good coach are.
