Some of Skips best teams didn’t win also. That 1998 team was incredible.

Great point. Football and baseball are different. It is a lot harder to win a baseball natty than a football natty. Jay doing it in year 2 is unprecedented.

We’re in good hands with Jay, that’s the nuts of it. How it all works out is up to Miss Cleo and Nostradamus.

I think he does. He is a great coach and the best recruiter. Kids want to come to LSU. He is building a dynasty. He will eclipse Coach Bertman. You will see. I love coach Bertman, but Coach Johnson will dominate. You will see

Remains to be seen with the BK hire, but JJ is underwhelming to this point. Kim is the only home run hire right now.
Good call Adam. So many assholes gave up in May.

We can’t even talk baseball without Saban appearing.

Put prime skip 87-97 in this era pretend he is JJ now . I mean skips teams wouldn’t lose much. That guy would kick Joey belle off the team in a heart beat again and tell any player and their NIL deals to hit kick rocks IMO

How about the next Skip Bertman? That makes more sense.

I do think JJ will coach here longer than Skip coached at LSU. He has the opportunity to eclipse Skip's record, but what Skip did will never be equaled at LSU in baseball. Skip started from nothing. JJ started with many advantages.

That being said, I am please LSU Baseball is in such capable hands. I expect many, many wins over the next 15-20 years.

Probably facts. Johnson can, however, have a more impressive run than Skip did without getting the trophies. If we go a 10 year stretch with 3 titles and 8 trips to Omaha and 2 super exits, I'd say given the times we are in that it's even more impressive than what Skip did.

Would Skip have still won five titles if he had to play 2/3 series against each of those teams LSU beat in the 90’s and in 2000? I often wonder this and I believe beating a CWS finals team 2/3 times is much harder than the winner takes all format.

Unlike y’all, I don’t give a shite about being wrong or right in my predictions. I care about LSU being successful. And I’ll gladly eat crow if I’m wrong when that means LSU is successful.

You’re just regurgitating my comments I made here a month or so ago. Try to be more original

Seems you're the opposite.

Be negative and make sure everyone knows. Then shift when you're wrong. Fairly simple.
