How does a 4 year deal run through through 2026??
His first full season starts in 2022. simple math. you could say 4.5 if you wanted to be super specific

this coaching search has shown a lot of people to be raging bitches on this site
Yea let's double what he was making at Arizona that's a hell of a deal.
When you see actual coaches with better resumes in the sec making less.

Pretty reasonable number. It doubles his UA salary, but still remains less than I'm sure LSU was willing to spend considering Woodward agreed to pay Mulkey $2.5 mill per and agreed that that beyond ridiculous contract for Pelini.

You don't think his contract at LSU will have extra stuff?

Same
He was making almost $900k at Arizona and they offered him more to try to keep him.

What did he make before?

He signed a 5 yr extension in 2017 that raised his base to $500k
He made ~$300k in extra incentives on top his base
We don't know LSU's extra incentives just the base salary

Schloss makes $1.25 mill - 5 CWS appearances
quote:New precedents are being set. Schloss and Johnson are equal hires at worst with Johnson maybe having an edge imo. His contract is perfect.
Johnson made Omaha 40% of the seasons at Arizona with one finals appearance Schlossnagle made Omaha 29% of the seasons at TCU with no finals appearances

quote:I believe it’s included in the totals already quoted. When you look at LSU contracts the base is nearly always a fraction of the total with equipment, media, and other supplementals making up the difference between that and the overall pay (and the overall is always the one noted when discussing pay).
