He does not have a great pitching coach like they did in 2023, plus their defense stinks from what I saw last night. Need improvement in both those areas to be considered a dominant team. The batting did semi ok. Get over it, always next game or next season or next sport

it’s baseball

You either get hit at the right time or have the best players.

Batting is great, defense is well above average. One misplayed ball in the outfield doesn’t mean the defense stinks.

I’ll give you the line about the pitching coach though. I don’t care for Yeskie

Bold statement. Remember, Jay's background is not coaching pitchers like Skip. Jay couldn't hold Skip's jockstrap when it comes to how to handle pitchers. Ultimately that's what will hold him back.

Yep, two super regional teams most likely, LSU and Texas.

This seems to be a bit much after just one loss in a 60+ game season

It’s really outrageous how dumb people around here are. We had to play our worst game of the year and combine it with a shite ton of batted ball luck for Texas to lose that game.

I’m almost impressed with the stupidity of this post. As far as dumb statements go….this is a true work of art

The people that don’t watch or understand baseball make this place unbearable.

It’s baseball. The best team doesn’t always win.

This isn’t 90s SEC baseball. Quit trying to compare LSU performance to that. There is more parity now than ever before.

It’s more and more difficult to play the game at the college level. Especially from a pitching and catching perspective. Quit shitting on them from outing to outing

Honestly one thing I love about college ball over MLB is that college ball has imperfect players who make mistakes, keeps the game interesting.

I imagine we'll lose a series here and there and people will grab their torches and pitchforks. I remember people wanting to bench players in the 2023 season.

Something about those west coast coaches. They bring a soft culture
Like the ones at USC, Oregon State, Fresno State, and Auggie Garrido at Cal State Fullerton and then later at Texas? That’s 21 National Championships. Those damn west coast soft coaches…??
