Good luck today. Will be stuck listening instead of watching on the road. Hope for a good game. We will be pitching Moss and a stable of pen pitchers.

May be a higher scoring game today.

Why is the new trend to teach catchers to put one knee down and the glove on the ground?

Typically not an issue if the bases are empty. I'm not a fan at the collegiate level and down with runners because there kids aren't athletic enough and the pitching isn't consistent enough.

It is easier on the body to drop to a knee than to sit squatted for ~130 pitches.

Serna is going to be a good catcher he is just young… kid has massive power too

I keep seeing this but Arrambide was no worse than Sean last season and certainly is not this season. And has the same pop in his bat. Both can be good, both need to do better at catching.

You were basically hitting with 8 people when he was in the lineup and his talent as a defensive catcher was vastly overstated.

I’ve seen balls dropped that hit right in the catcher’s glove. Many, many times. That should never happen. Sorry, our catchers suck

Hmmm. One dropped ball means they suck?

If we’re lucky enough to score more than four, we’re likely to score 16+

Our catchers have a massive chin problem.

Blocking a ball should be paramount as we've seen what Passed Balls have done to us this season.

not only for his own safety, but to keep the ball in front of them, when a ball is in the dirt, the catcher's chin should be at his chest, face down looking at the ball.

Too many times this season our catchers lift their head up and expose their neck to a ball bouncing off the dirt.

It's also why our catchers don't know where the ball is a majority of the time when it's in the dirt and they don't catch it cleanly.

I’m pretty sure if you look back to Jays Arizona days, bad fielding teams are kinda what he does. Overall I don’t think it is an emphasis of his

losing Neal was a major mistake by JJ
Bide is a streak hitter and awful receiver
Serna is average at both
Yamin is worst that than the other two or I assume he would be playing.
