ed o won a national championship you think he was a good coach?

Ed O had 2 good seasons with a generational team. Yeskie has actually had success over a career. I’m not saying he’s doing a good job this year but comparing him to Orgeron is dumb

We wanted to run off Wes Johnson last year and we wanted to run off Alan Dunn.

Firing the pitching coach is more popular than firing the head football coach.

People on this board blame everything on coaching.

This is spot on. It’s hilarious and sad at the same time.

To be fair, the staff outside of Skenes last year was all over the place too.

It definitely was. I remember us not being able to buy a strike at Auburn. I do feel that improvement was slow and steady over the season though.

All in the Pac 12, 8-10 years ago. College baseball is always changing. He's a relic if you compare that to today's game.

We’ve been burned by shifting and calling outside pitches more than a few times this year. That’s 100% on coaching

This team lost it's leadership in skenes and crews. There's a huge void to fill that's not going to happen overnight.

Even Jay Johnson can't fill that void. Holman is a reserved fella who won't be marching in Jay's office asking how he can make a difference in the program like like Dylan and Paul did. At least not yet.

This will take time. Those guys are impossible to replace. Theres a vacuum to be filled first. I'm willing to let it play out. Those guys were generational. As was their presence. There's no quick replacement.

One year ago from right now, our pitching outside of Skenes was very unpredictable. Not to mention there were a bunch of threads discussing Wes’ and how much of a coincidence can it really be for all of the injuries under his watch

The inability to throw first pitch strikes, walks and generally bad outings is NOT on the coach. The college pitcher has been playing 14-15 years. Why can't they throw strikes? THe pitch called should match the pitcher's ability to throw that pitch and locate it properly. I don't get it! LSU crows about their staff then give away at bats, hence games!

I would say Jay’s pitching decisions after the starter has left the game has been detrimental to the performance of a lot of the pitchers

We all weee excited when he came here because he has a great reputation.

The first thing we do when we start losing is blame coaches.
Jay Johnson won a natty in his 2nd year.
Let’s see how this year finishes up. We’ve had a brutal schedule with a pretty young team outside Tanks, Homlan and Travinski. Who I would suggest are our best players.

The problem stems from the promising sophomore class absolutely sucking. Kling and Neal were supposed to be dogs. Doesn’t mean the suck forever.
