Nope. You're wrong, Rickdaddy. Nothing unusual there, lol. You can't link me saying anything of the sort.
So youre saying its not evidence?
quote:
Another poster said it was evidence; a third said the other was delusional to say that was proof; and I replied that there was a difference between evidence and proof.
Holy shite
quote:
You jumped in and ejaculated that I was idiotic to say something I never said. So whois the idiot
The person who said a player's outfit is evidence that his head isnt focused on football.
You need to look up the word proof and evidence and see the synonyms.
quote:
who is the idiot
The person that doesnt know proof and evidence are synonyms.....and the people that think outfits at a game is evidence or proof that a player isnt focused on football

So this didn’t take a disproportionate amount of time to do right before the biggest game of his life?
Idk about you, but it doesn’t take me long to put on a suit. Probably takes longer to put on a football uni lmao.

You know, he may not be 100% wrong. Maybe he is 60-75% wrong?? Burrow does take social positions on things.
I seriously doubt that Burrow will be the next Colin Kapernick. I mean, the Bengals have lost two games on two plays.
Burrow's main objective should be to win games, and I am sure that Burrow is doing everything he can to help his team win.

This...
You have to understand that Burrow had a take on social issues that right wing people dont like. There was no question about his committment to football until he dipped his toe into culture war bullshite and the right at the point is literally driven by culture wars and owning libtards.

Don’t really give a damn about Whitlock one way or the other. He’s been good and he’s been horrible in the past. As for Burreaux, he’s still a kid and his team did a piss poor job of addressing the clear and obvious O-line woes that he managed to over come last season and get to a super bowl after a catastrophic injury. So while many would love to see him STFU and just play, his opinion in no way shape or form relates to his team losing first two games. The guy’s a winner no matter what he believes.
Geaux ??!

The only thing I liked about Burrow was him winning games for the Tigers. Every year those memories fade a little more and are replaced by Woke Joe.

When Joe started coming out with the Bling and then bragging that is was real because he made so much money, I had similar thoughts that he was losing his way and not making the transition to a media person very well. He, and all other celebrities for that matter, are you listening Mathew McConaughey?, should realize that their opinions on politics are not anymore important than me or you. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but some people should keep them to themselves. What happened to that girl Joe has been engaged to for three or four years? He should get married and have some kids so he will realize what responsibility and life are all about.

That's retarded.

I started reading this thread upvoting every post criticizing Whitlock because that is the first reaction of most people that basked in the glory of the magical 2019 season that Burrow made possible. Then I thought maybe I should actually read the article. Wow, Whitlock is spot on. I didn't know of some of the BS that JB has been spouting on social media. I was a little throwed off by his super bowl pimp outfit but but I thought, well he did bring a shite team to the super bowl in his second season, so whatever. But Whitlock does lay out some very telling symptoms that are definitely facts because I looked up the shite he claims. He is talented beyond the wildest dreams of the other QBs mentioned but even that can be destroyed by not staying true to the focused intensity to preparation that he displayed here at LSU and in his first 2 years in the NFL. As Whitlock said, their will be time for social justice and fashion after you are a made man. The media blow job feels nice but that bitch will turn on you in a heartbeat.

I thought as on most things, Jason Whitlock was spot on.

What's wrong here is using his platform as a conservative to blame liberalism as the reason Burrow is struggling.
You aren't even comprehending what Whitlock is saying. Either you aren't smart enough, didn't take the time to read, or feel the need to misrepresent his position because you can't beat his argument.
This is his argument. You don't have to agree. But, it would be intellectually honest if you actually addressed it rather than inventing a straw man.
quote:
Jason Whitlock: “I hope I’m wrong about Joe Burrow… My tweets analogizing Burrow to Josh Rosen and Robert Griffin III were not written with malicious intent, quote:Joe Burrow has some of the same personality quirks and characteristics of Rosen, Griffin III, Newton, and Kaepernick…
they reflect my gut instincts at the moment. They reflected the reality that sometimes young quarterbacks trip over their own egos and sabotage their career.quote:Is Joe Burrow suffering from ‘Colin Kaepernick Disease'? The disease killed Josh Rosen in the football womb. The UCLA QB entered the league with the stated goal of being a social justice champion, and complaining about the nine teams that didn’t draft him in the first round. He lasted one season as a starter in Arizona. ‘Kaepernick Disease’ is a deadly form of arrogance, shallowness, narcissism, and wokeness. The disease is triggered when agents, handlers, and media influencers convince young athletes that their mission is to become ‘more than an athlete.’ The disease has been around a little more than a decade. Scientists believe the virus leaked from a laboratory in Portland, Oregon, years ago when Nike executives at the behest of China, developed a formula to make LeBron James the next Mohammad Ali. The leak sparked a pandemic across football and basketball. An early symptom of the disease was a desire to kneel during the National Anthem. New variants of 'Kaepernick Disease' cause athletes to speak out on political issues they know very little about.
Does Joe Burrow have the right attitude? Is Burrow too cocky for his own good? Has he prioritized social justice virtue-signaling above football greatness?quote:of Kap Disease. Arrogance and flamboyance destroyed Cam Newton and RG III…
Joe Burrow recently posted on Instagram about abortion, and about the Supreme Court’s decision to return Roe vs. Wade. In June he urged politicians to get those crazy guns off the street. Back in 2020 during the summer of George Floyd Burrow and his Bengals teammates made a joint statement standing in front of the National Underground Railroad museum. There is no doubt Burrow has at least a mild form of Kap’s Disease. It’s not just the wokeness, it’s the arrogance and flamboyance; those are the other tell-tale signsquote:and is headed down the same path of Rosen, Newton, Griffin, and Kaepernick.
Burrow wants to be ‘more than an athlete’, he wants to be a fashionista, he wants to engage in political discussions. He’s distracted and cockyquote:He can be a runway model and uninformed political pundit in his 40s. Now is the time to be a great quarterback.” (Full Segment Above)
Joe Burrow should focus solely on football right now.

I'm not referring to message boards man. Real life happens outside of message boards. You may want to start paying attention to real life.

Way off there dude. I watch sports for the sports. I don't want to hear any politics in my sports period. I don't want to hear any pro Trump shite, I don't want to hear any pro Biden shite, or abortion stuff. Politics is divisive by its sheer nature. It is hurting the NFL anyone can see. Bill Burr who is a big time liberal describes it exactly. We watch sports to enjoy time away from the bullshite of every day life. I don't want to hear about social justice, cancer, religion, foreign wars, just straight up is my team going to dominate your team. You can get a family together who are all LSU fans to watch the game and everyone is having a great time (except uncle Ted who gets wasted) but the second someone brings up politics now the house is divided. Keep sports pure is all I'm saying.
