If you want to bury your head in your arse and not acknowledge that he’s had a slump the tail end of the season to show everyone how hardcore of a fan you are, then sure go ahead. Some of us here are realists.

Amazing that people on here dont realize that at times a player will perform under his average sometimes and over it sometimes… unless they are a machine

Baseball players have slumps. No one is suggesting he didn’t. The ridiculous part is people calling for him to be benched for the slump instead of working through.

Dickinson is also in a mini-slump despite his blooper hit today. Hoping he comes back to form.

Bras had 2 balls that barreled up today right at em. Usually, the first signs of coming out of a slump. I still think you kinda platoon him and reaves. Just depends on if you need offense or defense. Reaves if your down, bras if you're up

SOME of our fanbase can't see the big picture. "He hasn't had a hit this game--bench him!"

More like, “he swung at a pitch and missed! Kick him off the team!”

a player that is 2 for 4 with homerun and 3 RBIs is not in a slump. After blasting home runs in the supers. Seriously...

With a platinum sombrero in Game 1 it is hard to shake recency bias. Good contact today

Its about timely hitting

He has 8 RBIs in the postseason, which is 12% of the runs scored in the postseason.

It doesn’t matter what he’s hitting in the postseason before tomorrow; he’s only got a finite amount of at bats left this season so it only matters what he does tomorrow going forward.

Like Todd Walker said a few nights ago on "SEC Now," "That's why they call it an average."

He had 5ks the other day. It’s fairly reasonable to to upset. He was a walking strike out. Not making contact with the ball period. He’s better than this.

And after that game, when the entire team had loaded the bus and gone back to the hotel, Jared Jones was in the batting cage. Just him and a coach. Working on hitting off speed pitches. There's video of it.

I got mad respect for him. I don't understand what happened from first half of season to second half. But he looked great early. Hitting breaking balls. Walking instead of swinging at everything. Much more a complete hitter.

Something happened mid-season, and he fell back into old habits. Not sure there are many guys at this stage in his career, that would stay late in Omaha by himself, working out the kinks, with at max 3 more games? And what happens first at bat? 3 run opposite field homer with flags blowing straight in. Happy for him.

Went 0-5. Got some one on one coaching. Then hits a homer and a single.

He’s a great hitter. Anybody that just needs some coaching on perspective and approach is a great hitter. There’” are plenty of dudes in the minors that get that kind of coaching daily and still can’t get out of a slump.

Heading into the UCLA game we had 4 guys slumping in the postseason.

Jones had a couple of hits and of course a huge one. It seems like he's starting to see it better although he's obviously not hot yet.

Frey had a hit so hopefully, he's going to start producing.

Dickinson had a hit. It was about as soft as you could possibly hit it and get a base hit. He hasn't hit well since the regional opener.

And, of course the Braswell / Reaves combo is ice cold.

It would be great to get Jones, Frey and Dickinson going. That seems like an achievable goal.

I respect his hard work too. But to not criticize his batting as of the last month is crazy. He needs a slump buster. He’s had the two home runs that have been key. But he’s been an automatic out for the most part in the post season.
