Irons blatant hold on Buster Davis in the EZ. He held with both hands, shoved him out of the way and then clapped while walking away.

Ref just stood there. Still makes my blood boil.

Yep, incredibly bad no-call.

(BTW, though, it was LaFell. Same result though).

People need to get over him wearing Bama gear, whocares. He played at LSU and I hope he redeems himself as the worse 1st rounder ever.

His accuracy? 67.8 completion % his final year is pretty damn good and 60.4 for career.

Jamarcus had one bad game, the 06 UF game. Whole team played bad. If anything Saban should have started him from day 1, then he would have been more experienced for the 05 season. who knows, maybe we win in 05.

Jimbo Fisher says you're wrong. LINK
quote:

“His work ethic for us — everything I ever asked him to do, he did. He was smart, he carried three and four play packages at the line of scrimmage.”
quote:

“He is very talented and he is very intelligent,” Fisher said. “Intelligence isn’t an issue with him.”
Les Miles also says you're wrong and adds that you should chug bleach and sterilize yourself so you don't breed. LINK
quote:

“For me, I’m going to tell you something, when I coached JaMarcus Russell and I had to have him at 255, he weighed 255. I had to have him ready to roll and at practice on time, meetings, he was the leader of my team. I’m going to tell you right now, I enjoyed having him quarterback my team."
quote:

“The only thing I can’t tell you is that he is competitive as there is. If you put a ball down in the yard and say we’re going to play to twelve, dammit, he’s going to play you. He didn’t if it’s basketball, football, or baseball. He has that to him.”

role model or ambassador or whatever to LSU and not represent Bama

I don't know who he was a fan of growing up, but he could have been a Bama fan. He's not entitled to turn his back on a team just because he didn't got here.

Anyway, I'm pulling for him. I hope he gets a chance, he deserves it and has put in the effort. He wants to prove everyone wrong and I think he will, Geaux JR.

Anyone pointing to his accuracy as a problem should never be allowed to post here again.

Considering its the best in LSU history, I would argue its a little better than "pretty damn good."

quote:

60.4 for career

Actually it was 61.9%, which is the 2nd best mark in LSU history.

Had he returned for his senior season, he would have smashed every career passing record LSU had

When you guys establish the parameters/set the rules on which former tigers to support or not support, please let us all know. Until then, I will continue supporting all former tigers (Jamarcus & TM7 included) who have not tried to intentionally disgrace our program (Lester Earl).

Thanks for your input.

Not a bash against him, but I can't wait to hear how someone can reason that he could pass blame?

Lets not forget the tons of drops during JRocks career. He's one of the best, if not the best, players to come out of LSU.

Some of yall need to get off this kick about JR wearing bama shite. He's from Alabama and likes the team he grew up watching....big fricking deal. He played for LSU and he loves the school and city, so lets please drop this reoccuring BS about him and the state he grew up in.

That is just an excuse for those who dislike him in the first place. To a true LSU fan, which is more important, him, being from Alabama, wearing Alabama gear or him leading LSU to 3-0 against Alabama? Or chosing LSU over Bama and Auburn in the first place.
