I'm pulling for him to swallow his pride and play in a lesser league to tune up his game. But that's "beneath him"
Someone might've addressed this earlier
But he said that he wants to sit behind a veteran and learn more about the game. I don't think he's expecting to come in and immediately be a starter.

Not even Rohan? I enjoyed watching JR but man I loved me some Rohan.
Loved me some Davey too. I think JR was a bit better though because the SEC was elite in his time here and he faced some gnarly defenses. Rohan brought the magic back though.

Holy Shite! I just saw the piece. You never know what people are going through, so always be careful in how you view them when you don't know. I am guilty of this with Jamarcus. I feel sorry for him. I hope he comes back strong and gets a chance.
Loved the LSU repin....

Thank you for posting the link - really enjoyed watching that and wish him the best of luck.

idk why...but when I watched the JR doc this song popped in my head. Even though the song has nothing to do with anything similar to JR.
The National - Think you can wait
The National - Think you can wait
quote:
According to Matt Berninger, the band wrote the song after watching the film "Win Win" and becoming inspired by Tom McCarthy's themes of "very normal and good people trying to do their best and the struggle to be good." The result, "Think You Can Wait," is a gorgeous, brooding composition that plays over the film's credits. Hear the new National tune, which was produced by Boxer co-producer Peter Katis at Aaron Dessner's Brooklyn studio and features guest vocals by Sharon Van Etten.

is disrespectful to LSU to wear the attire of what happens to be its most hated rival.
Seriously, what does it matter?

I don't understand how anyone could be rooting against him. He was awesome at LSU and i think now he really realizes how bad he messed things up. I hope he succeeds eventually in the League, and i would no doubt sign him if i was a GM.

He's the best modern day QB that LSU has ever had and I wish him the best in the near future.

Jamarcus is thug a POS. I don't feel bad for someone who had all the opportunities in the world and failed all because of stuff he couldn't easily controlled. Plus he should act as a role model or ambassador or whatever to LSU and not represent Bama. Annoys me
Spoken like a true white racist that has never made a mistake in his life. And before you deny being a racist, I have plenty like you in my family unfortunately. I know your MO's. White power bro. Keep rolling.

I think the VAST majority of LSU fans are pulling for him - like 99%

His accuracy? 67.8 completion % his final year is pretty damn good and 60.4 for career.
I'm not disputing whether Russell was or was not accurate, but I write to note that completion percentage is not the end all be all of accuracy. Yards after catch are often a good indication of accuracy in conjunction with a completion percentage. I can't find any of the NCAA statistics, but I had heard in a 2005 broadcast that LSU struggled with yards after the catch. I'd like to see the proof of that, however.

In other words..
JaMarcus should have worked on his "ball placement"

With that said, the people who are excusing his wearing of Alabama gear are missing the boat a little bit. It is disrespectful to LSU to wear the attire of what happens to be its most hated rival. Aside from a certain number of idiot fans (and the Gumps have their own) LSU has been and continues to be very good to JR.
The whole JaMarcus wears Bama clothing is a bit played out. He has worn LSU gear in every one of his comeback videos.
I was not his biggest fan during his entire career LSU, but he did a lot of special things in 2006.
I think he finally has his head in the right place, and I would love to see him move past being a bust early in his career.

My post was supportive of JR and I am rooting for him as well.
Just pointing out that i think it was a error in judgment to wear the Alabama gear, and it can be seen as disrespectful by a lot of reasonable people. I don't consider those who make the "thug pos" references to be reasonable people.
