Milroe is going to eat our secondary’s lunch.

Their OL sucks at pass pro this year. But you still don't blitz a guy like Milroe who only wants to run and throw bombs.

If this defense makes avg QB’s look great how did we beat Mizzou on the road with good QB and great WR.
Because we won in a shootout. Exactly what we’ll have to do with Alabama.

Auburns QB sucked, and it’s laughable that you brought Army’s offense into this conversation.

I just want to see Perkins disrupt their offense

It’s virtually our only hope at creating turnovers

They will score but if we can manage to force a couple of turnovers, they can’t keep up with our O

Never thought I’d say this but we just need the defense to be average

Milroe will have a career best day against LSU. It’s inevitable especially with no Zy. Every QB pretty much has. Even Auburn finally passed over 100 yards against them. Just have to score more.

Yep. And this defense allowed Auburn’s QBs to make plays with their legs due to the inability of the DEs to keep containment

What do y’all think is going to happen when an athlete the caliber of Milroe sees a running lane?!?

This is going to be a very frustrating game to watch

Did you watch that game? It damn sure wasnt because of the defense.

Not all about defense, but in the second half Luther Burden only had 2 catches for 39 yards. Perkins started covering him after halftime.

For reference he had 9 catches for 110yds in the first half.

Simulated pressures where we try to get home with home. Mix up coverages to keep Milroe guessing. Rush lane integrity and keep him IN the pocket. Hold them to FGs when they do drive it some. Our offense is going to score TDs. Just need to keep Bama to FGs.

Sure you do. You just have to picks your spots and disguise it well like against any good team.

This. Rewatched our game from last year and our game plan was perfect. Perkins mirrored Bryce's every movement, only problem is our CBs could actually cover last year.

Mix some cover 3 and cover 2.

Mixing coverages is key but I don't want to see this team play 10 yds off and drop into cover 3 at all. Quarters, Cover 2 and some Man Free with a spy in certain situations. Everytime we would drop into Cover 3 we have our Corners play 10-12 yds off and it is beyond frustrating to see us just give away easy completions.

Because Jayden daniels put the team on his back. That’s how.

It damn sure wasn’t because of the defensive performance.

Milroe succeeds when he can throw deep, especially left of the hash.

which is why you cannot sit back in zone. we can maybe do some cover 1 blitzing( but rushers would be even 5 on 5 or 6 on 6 depending if Rb stays in to block) to give us help deep on that side but ususally cover 0 (which would give us extra man if rb stays back 7 on 6).

Play soft, make them be patient, make them drive the field. Then tackle.

this aint the chavis d that would expose you by making you drive field bend but dont break between 20's and try to get turnovers or a punt.

we have to blitz. u cannot give him any time.

mix in zone blitz, LB blitz, cb blitz, safety blitz etc.

ou don't blitz running qb
You rush your passing lane and have contain.

WRONG. u blitz his arse but stay in lanes because yes if he gets away and we are in man press cover 0 or a cover 1 blitz he will burn us running with everybodys back turned

which is why i said before to mix in some zone blitzes. u make his arse make quick deciisons. yeah let him sit in pocket all day and bomb this shitty defense to death and see what happens.

Definitely mix some of this in. You can bet Bama is preparing for it, so you can't make it the mainstay.

Defense played a great second half against Missouri, and they haven't looked back yet.
