The fact that this was a woman makes it much worse. I want to see him play but also want just consequences for this action.

I would like to know how the police had enough to issue an arrest ? With the statement from the women that sounds idiotic

For what action?

He's already guilty?

There are a bunch of different scenarios that could've gone down but we don't know what happened.

I agree with Mr. Hangover. Read his posts and don't just assume he did what he's charged with without getting any information prior.

He did not get arrested for the actions that transpired that night, he was arrested for not showing up at an appointment with the police to tell his side of the story

That was the info I got. No need to get upset

I am not saying he is guilty of anything just stating why the warrant was issued in the first place and after just talking with a buddy who works for BRPD had he showed up ,given what they know now he probably would not have been issued an arrest warrant. There is other witnesses that have stepped forward and said that Mills was not the one who struck the victim. The victims story is starting to really unhinge and if all the facts I am getting is true then I don't see how the DA can file charges at this point.

quote:

After identifying him as the suspect, investigators contacted Mills, who told them he was in Houston and would not return to Baton Rouge until June 9, for summer school, Coppola said. Mills failed to show for an appointment with investigators Tuesday at 5 p.m. He did not respond to telephone calls that day and a felony warrant was issued for his arrest. Investigators eventually contacted Mills through LSU.

Not really. People just need an accusation to remove reasonable doubt.

Yeah it sounds to me like the police were waiting to arrest Mills until the meeting, to see if they could get any incriminating statements out of him there. When he no-showed, which doesn't hurt him legally, they went ahead with the arrest. Now it looks like the charges won't stick with everything that's happened. So it goes.

I really want to believe he's innocent here and wouldn't assault a woman. They'll get this all straightened out.

I think Robinson has more potential and will be a better player one day. But that day did not come last season. There's more to playing DB than playing man coverage. Mills is by far the most underrated player on our team.

Mills was pretty garbage until he moved to Safety.

Mills had trouble with assignments and did his signature wtf move when the ball was thrown to a wide open receiver about 20x last season.
