he is NOT a team player. He can be more of a liability for the team against really talented teams like Bama. That’s why coach McMahon makes him sit for long stretches in games.

If he’s shooting well he’s great. If not he’s terrible. He needs to learn there is more to basketball then scoring

He’s a really poor man’s Cam Thomas. No idea how to do much else to help the team, but he is zoned in on the basket.

What do you want him to do? We don’t run anything on offense. We just roll the ball out and go play. I’m sure it’s frustrating for a kid like him who could operate a real offense.

Agree 100%

When he was playing as a team player, we were playing really well. But, he is all about him. And, certainly does not play defense.

No he’s used to playing for a team like Tulane where winning and losing doesn’t matter. Don’t get me wrong talent is there but mindset needs to change

They sure seem to run offense when he is NOT on the floor. He is also a defensive liability too.

I’m not disagreeing that he takes bad shots and plays hero ball but we don’t run anything on offense so besides playing 1 on 1 what is he supposed to do? We have a high screener and 3 guys standing around the 3pt line. We don’t run anything.

A month ago he was our savior. It was that clueless Wade that ran him off.

The blame is always deflected from where it belongs. Cook is just the scapegoat for today.

Brother, he was 4/13 from the field and committed 4 fouls. It’s okay to lay some blame on players when they are awful. He needed to be special to win this game. He was bad, again. It’s at a crucial point with him on the season he needs to pick it up

Again, there’s no structure on offense. Nobody in the country is going to be efficient playing 1 on 1 backyard basketball.

Idk man Cook takes a lot of unnecessary contested and rushed shots, but it’s not worth getting into it with you again. We fundamentally disagree on things and that’s okay

We have 2 consistent SEC caliber offensive players. Sometimes Cook plays without Wright and he needs to take contested shots because a contested Cook jumper is as good or better than anything Fountain, Hannibal, Dean, Baker, etc. can give us. It is what it is.

I agree with you that he takes bad shots but again how are we supposed to generate any offense with 1 high screen and everyone els standing around?

Offense wasn’t the problem tonight even with Cook being bad so idk why we are harping on it
