There we go. Right on cue. The king of calling people out on deflecting deflects. I hate I always fall into your clown traps. Have a good night brother, hopefully you get that head coaching gig coaching ball because you are all knowing

You literally just dodged my question and threw an insult laced temper tantrum. Now you’re blaming me for it. Sorry that a simple question embarrassed you ti the point of you getting ugly but don’t insult me when you can’t even defend your position.

Lmaoooooo I said I don’t know X’s and O’s dawg. You do speak in generalities. Whatever you are a loser go melt about politics or something

And you can’t tell me what offense we run because you don’t know. Thats the funniest part. You hedge everything by doing this bullshite instead of actually going into depth about what you think you know

Good video on McMahon’s offense

Pretty sure they’re running some variation of motion rather than sets of specific plays most of the time.

I’ve seen us do many of the things from this video, but we do them a lot less when cook gets the ball at the top of the key.

We don’t run anything on offense, you laughed at that comment so I asked you to tell me what we run and your response to that was a vitriol filled meltdown that included some insanity about culture and politics. Seriously WTF?

We’re not running that at LSU right now. Just go put on the replay of tonight.

With motion, there is an execution element. It’s based on principles/rules and reads.

That is McMahon’s offense — If we aren’t running it, it’s not because Matt doesn’t want to.

Sure I can, we run 1 high ball screen with no off ball movement. Sometimes we’ll move the ball screen to Wright on the wing instead and every once in a blue moon we’ll isolate Baker on a post up. Thats it, besides a very good adjustment coach Mac made vs ATM in the conf opener that’s all we’ve run and it’ll never be enough to win in this league no matter how good the players are.

“If we aren’t running it, it’s not because Matt doesn’t want to”

So whose fault is it? 5 PGs since he’s been here and it’s all their fault and not his? Youre saying it’s impossible that he’s changed it?

It’s not like we don’t have 53 games worth of video evidence or anything. But go ahead and keep being militantly ignorant if you want.

I made the mistake of asking him to defend his position. He was big mad after that.

Yes. It’s absolutely 1000% impossible that McMahon went from Murray State to LSU & decided:

“I’m going to change my offense from motion concepts to — one screen then absolutely nothing.”

I’m not defending our offensive output, but no that really isn’t possible lol. It’s not even some crazy original revolutionary offensive philosophy, most people who played at any level have run a version this at some point.

I’m seeing personnel issues — you can argue that is on McMahon at this point. But we’re not just trotting guys out without a plan.

Nah I made the mistake of engaging Mr. know it all and I even said we will never agree and I fell into his trap of arguing in circles. Whatever at least we both care about the program hopefully there are better days ahead

Sorry drizz, meant to say we all three care about the program. It’s just internet bullshite disagreements that’s what makes this forum fun and will make it that much better when we are pulling on the same side of the rope if this ship ever gets moving back in the right direction

Offense isn’t even really the issue IMO. Tonight it was some, because there were some bad shots taken which you absolutely cannot do against Alabama. We lost by 21. We got outscored in fast break points 22-4. If you throw up a 3, it’s almost better to not even attempt to offensive rebound against Alabama because they will convert a long rebound into points

We are 5th in field goal % and 5th in 3pt % in the league.

The issue is his man to man switch defense. We simply don’t have versatility to do that, unless we put both Fountain and Reed in at the bigs, which he never seems to do. Need to play a 1-3-1 and let baker just sit back and protect the rim. This team has the length for it.

And you don’t think jumping up to the SEC level may have forced him to change? Maybe what happened last season made him change? I don’t know why it’s happened but I know we don’t run any motion offense and I know going through 5-6 point guards and claiming they all just refuse to run his offense isn’t a valid excuse.

And my mistake was engaging with Mr. know nothing, pussy rag, cry baby who takes a simple question and throws a fit because he can’t answer it.

LSU’s offense is at a crossroads, mostly because newly eligible point guard Jalen Cook likes to score in pick-and-roll sets while head coach Matt McMahon runs a motion offense
