Anybody know why nick saban didn’t like Joseph Addai? How can you not like him he is a beast. Only thing I could think of is he freaked Mrs. Saban or Joseph is a guy who looked like he didn’t take any shite from Saban.

if saban didn't like him, he definitely had a good reason. i know you hate saban like the rest of us but, if he disliked a player, it was probably cuz said player was lazy, a smartass, or something like that. i doubt it was because saban just decided to dislike him for nothing.

I remember Addai almost single handedly beating Florida. His effort in that game was incredible to watch.

Agreed, Nick has earned the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the beef he had with Joe ultimately led to a change in habit for Joe.

All I know is I wouldn’t want to be on Addai’s bad side.

That is surprising. Addai seemed like a great team player and always ran hard

Well that actually makes sense. From early in his career I through he always had a good showing, but never got the bulk of the carries till later in his career - as SR IIRC.

I actually know for a fact this isn’t true.

Addai was a damn hard worker, quiet leader, and humble as can be.

No clue about the beef with Saban or even blaming him, sometimes people just don’t get along.

But Addai is none of those things you listed.

He even switched to WR for a time and did so willingly. He was a consummate team player.

First thing I thought of when I read his name.

That really is strange to hear, because the staff thought so highly of him as a true and redshirt freshman that they got him reps at FB to get him on the field.

He was a part of that 2001 recruiting class and he was a stud. I know he tore his acl one or two times but he didn’t really play a lot until les miles first year in 2005 his senior year.

So the coach that installed the mechanical lock on his door gets the benefit of the doubt ?
That dude was a hard core a-hole at LSU
I think he’s mellowed a bit since then but he was known to be a real prick back then

Saban probably rode him for not playing on a torn ACL.
