A fly ball that hits a player while the ball is over foul territory is a foul ball, regardless of where the ball lands afterward or where the player is standing. The ruling is based entirely on the location of the ball relative to the foul line at the exact moment of contact.

Unreal how many people don’t know the rules. Used to laugh at little league coaches and parents who’d yell about a ball being foul because it hit the plate.
