I love all the teammates in his class chiming in on IG. Could be a special class if they all stay healthy and the coaching is on point.

He should spend more time improving his football speed...4.55 ain't gone cut it for a white boy in the SEC!

He’s liable to get up and quit right there. That’s what quitters do.
One of the best quotes on the Rant in a long time.

Gilbert didn't make it through a season. What makes you think he'll do better at UF? He's obviously got issues.

1) 4.55 is not slow
2) I bet Antonio brown at 4.56 could have never made it in the sec. Devante Adams as well, he’s terrible.

I am excited to see Jack Bech play as an LSU Tiger in Death Valley. He has all the intangibles and much more.

Sure it is. Y'all are too use to overinflated 40 times.

Maybe even better for Gilbert's high school teammate, B.J. Ojulari to be the one taking him out on a nice, hard aggressive hit.

I'm pretty sure Thad Moss ran a 5.2 40 and had no problems dominating on the field...

Jimmy Ott was saying on the radio that Gilbert was averaging more catches than most of the relevant TEs of the past ten years. Erik caught on average 4 catches per game where Pitts from UF averaged 3.

Moss was dominate? Thats a big stretch...Lets see Bech run a 40 against say Davonte Smith or even our own Keyshon Boutte....

There's a difference between straight line 40 time and "Quickness."
He'll run great routes, get open and catch everything that's anywhere near his hands. (See New England Patriots with Brady in his Prime with all those "White Boys" catching lots of passes and winning Super Bowls)
All the SEC DB's will be going
"Who Dat, Who Dat, Who Dat white boy catchin all dose passes, Who Dat?"

Jarvis Landry ran a 4.77 at the combine.
Who the fk cares about his 40 time? Watch the tape. The dude can get open, high point the ball, and has exceptional body control.

Larry Fitzgerald ran a 4.63 forty and constantly gets open in the NFL. There’s more to getting open than being able to run fast in a straight line.

I’m surprised more of the team/alum hasn’t commented on this. I’m sure teammates must be infuriated

Spurrier had it right when he said , and I paraphrase, that he prefers 3 and 4 stars who still work hard to prove themselves. Many a 5 star, having never faced adversity, do not have the will or work ethic to compete, expect privileged treatment and never reach potential.
