Why does it appear that Bech is a focal point at the beginning of each game but fades quickly.

He's targeted, makes a few big catches, first downs, etc... then he completely disappears from the game plan.

I'm also at a loss as to why he is seldom used in the Redzone.

First time play caller.

Honestly, this past week I had no issues with handing it off to TDP 37 times and leaving the pass game alone.

Until the other team stops it, keep going back to it.

Don't think Bech is leading a counter.

Weird line changes using 8 different WRs throughout the game can't help.

because we have a retarded OC that has no idea what he is doing and gets his plays off of a video game

I thought UF did make some adjustments to get him covered a little more.

But, Max is the biggest issue with Bech right now. For whatever reason Max just sprays the ball all over the damn place when trying to throw it Bech's way the last couple games.

He flat out missed him 1 time in the UF game (way behind him) when he was wide open and might have taken that one for a TD.

In the KEntucky game it was just absolutely laughable...PFF says we targeted Bech 10 times and he ended up with only 3 catches...(0 drops by Bech by the way). YOu know how many of those 7 passes were even defensed? 1...so Max flat out missed him 6 times (out of TEN passes).

Wasnt specifically talking about the UF game. Of course feeding TDP on the counter was better option than getting Bech involved, but the season (as a whole), not sure why we haven't focused on getting him more looks.

This shite should only happen if you are up 24 points. I hate seeing koy koore and lee out there when the game is tied.

Palmer too. I mean, How many drops do we allow before we limit his playing time further.

Agree. Getting the run game back is huge, make our play calling more balanced. Bech is leading the team in number of targets, he gets plenty of looks, hopefully we won't have to throw the ball 50 times a game any more. Max has missed some throws, but has also dropped some dimes on all our guys. Need more true TE play as well, preferably a TE that is both a passing catching threat as well as a great run blocker.

Because LSU only threw 24 passes this week. Who would have thought Jenkins would catch 3 TD's and Davis would set an LSU rushing record.

LSU was in more 11 personnel with 82 as the TE. 82 was in the game in the redzone. When they go 11 personnel, Bech might be in another position than he was when they are in 4 WR formations. Maybe he needs to learn more as personnel packages change.

And in my view, LSU needs to use more 11 personnel as their base offense and 82 needs to be in the game. That means the guys that were in 4 WR and 5WR formations need to adjust to be being 1 of the 3 WR in 11 personnel. Right now, Thomas, Bech and Nabers are the top 3 WR in 11, with Jenkins being #4. Smith getting healthy of course he is in the rotation as well. Palmer and Kirklin are behind those guys in my view and Moore who is entering the portal is behind them. So I can see why he is leaving, 4 True Freshman have passed him.

Think about how many times Boutte was thrown to almost exclusively in the first half of games but largely ignored in the second half or in the red zone.

Yeh Jenkins killed it. He had been dropping some earlier in the season (stuff hes caught many times before) so it was good to see him playing well.

Agree, very similar situation. Games where Boutte completely disappeared in the 2nd half.

This week it was because when Mashburn was in, Bech came out in that package. And we ran almost everytime Mashburn was in (and did so successfully).

Bech is a gamer and gives 110%, so I always want him in on important downs. He's the type that gets the 1st down if you throw him a decent pass with any wiggle room. To me, the more he plays, the better we are, so it would be nice if they can get him and Mashburn in on the same package sometimes.

It’s because teams adjust to who’s beating them
