Oh, and how many starts did JB9 have under his belt prior to the Miami game? Just curious...

Comparing Jefferson 2.0 to The goat is ludicrous

Mike Denbrock having our receivers run 20 yd routes every play for 3 quarters

This is the biggest worry I have from last night. What a completely shitty game plan to run deep routes with our rag tag oline and their dline being their strength. Then it took 3 quarters to go away from it when it was blatantly obvious it wasn’t working.

Many on here thinks Jayden sucked on Sunday night. I wonder what people were saying about Joe Burrow.

My first instinct is to say Burrow was 1-0 and Daniel was 0-1. However my biggest takeaway from the night was a big plus in the fact that when the game was on the line he pulled it out. Was not his fault we missed the PAT. He brought the team back from 14 down with 9:00 to go in the game.

Winners win and I was not sure about his resolve to win at all costs. Burrow was a winner through and through and still is today. I felt better after that 4th qtr.

If they only rushed 3 means they have 8 dbs wouldn't that make it harder to pass on?

Outside of the final drive where FSU only rushed 3 people, Daniels did suck. Just so we’re clear

Exactly....when the opposing team is playing prevent with only a minute to go and you drive 99 yards which is half of your passing total from the night...not too good!

Mine too. I’m also concerned about LB.

Uh, we won that Miami game 33-17 and it was worse than that score indicated. We also went 10-3 that year… not sure where you are getting 7-6 from.

Wrong! Prevent is to prevent big plays and be willing to give up short plays with the clock and field position on your side. Stop making excuses for this guys. He sucks.

Go watch the Miami game then watch the FSU game again. JD isn’t on the same galaxy as Joe Burrow and that was his first start in college period. JD has 2 full years under his belt.

Let's compare their first game stats in an LSU uniform. How does Jayden compare to the GOAT? I find this interesting to say the least. 2018 vs Miami - Final Record 7-6 J. Burrow 11 for 24, 45.8%, 0 TD, 0 INT, 94.8 QB Rating, 4 Rushes, 14 Yds, 3.5 ypc 2022 vs Fla St - Final Record ???? J. Daniels 26 for 35, 74.3%, 2 TD, 0 INT, 143.3 QB Rating, 16 Rushes, 114 Yds, 7.1 ypc

In a blow out after partial summer in an archaic offensive system versus the spring and summer in a better system.

THAT IS 100% HORSE shite! fricking tool. This guy couldn’t spot a corner blitz and change to a hot route or take a TO.
That first 2 3/4 quarters were terrible. Y’all blame Boutte on that drop he had to stop and go back then turn on. DanielS FLAT OUT MISSED HIM WIDE OPEN on that play. They ran to e same play with Nabors and connected for a TD

Just so we are clear, he had no time to sit in the pocket, 145 passer rating is pretty good

There were a bunch of Dumb Dumb’s in the fanbase regarding Joey B for about a year.

The issue is, those peoples failed to give credence to his late transfer situation and couldn’t spot an intangible if someone shite it directly into their mouths.

Joey B was a clear pro in his LSU debut. He had poise. He was making checks at the line. He was going through progressions. His teammates obviously respected him. Etc. Now obviously as he got further removed from the rust of not playing meaningful football for 3 years, he got better and better. But you could always tell, if you weren’t blind of course, that Joey B had a pro’s mentality and was likely going to spend time either coaching or playing in the NFL.

I like Daniels more than most on this board. But he’s not a pro. Stats are stats. It matters how they were accumulated. It’s like when More Sports Board was trying to tell everyone that Drew Lock was a good QB. But when you looked at the tape, all of his TD’s were 1 read plays with clean pockets and open receivers.

Jayden Daniels has the ability to be a very solid college QB and a camp body in the NFL.

With that being said, Jayden Daniels. Was not a top 5 or 10 reason LSU lost on Sunday.

I thought he did pretty good for his first SEC start. He had happy feet but that didn't seem to hurt production.

Dropped passes and the O line not knowing who to block were a bigger concern than QB. Oh, and center snapping like he is pitching an intentional walk...

Where’d you come up with the 143.3 QB Rating? ESPN has 83.4…

Not ESPN QBR. The real rating. Look on yahoo sports
