I've no idea of Daniels will be good in the NFL but......this is just crazy

What he's done in college football is absurd. The thing that always gets me when he scramble is how not only does he break off long runs but somehow, no one is fricking near him. His field vision must be ridiculous because the goes running right down the middle of the field for 30+ yards before someone is even really in a position to try to tackle him.
Then, even when he gets tackled, it's super rare for it to be anything more than a grab and pull down deal. Him actually getting HIT, like a real tackle, is so rare that when it happens I'm almost shocked.
Dude still throws occasional head scratcher balls that are much worse throws than his overall stats would lead you to expect. But, his passing is still light years better than when he arrived and, for the most part, he's developed into a legit passer. And yes, before you respond.......but the yards!!! I get it. But shite, I can't even imagine how one devises a secondary to properly cover passing routes when the damned QB is capable, almost whenever he feels like it, or ripping off 25 yards with his feet.
We've seen QBs who run but none have ever run as friggin freely as this guy. Against basically all defenses.
I hope he succeeds in the NFL, but if he doesn't, this shite was still worth it.

He glides like a gazelle. His running is effortless. Absolutely wild and then to put his passing together this year. Amazing.

Extremely rare combination of passing and running ability

He will continue to grow in the NFL. Hopefully he ends up with a good team with a good OC.

I noticed last night that he seems to decide to run much earlier than when he actually takes off and almost directs the pocket and the defense to a position that allows for maximum efficacy when he does run.
He's really fricking good.

Patriots are high on JD5, wonder if they draft him since the Mac Jones experience isn’t really working

I agree with most of your post, but not this:
JD has gotten absolutely rocked throughout his time here. It’s been my (and I’d guess the coaching staff’s) biggest complaint about JD is that he is reckless with his well-being.

I am a lifelong Rams fan. Love to see them take him at number five.

It really is almost weird. Dude starts running and I'm imagining being a fan of the other team wondering why half my team disappeared from the field! LOL

But the dude has an uncanny ability once on the run to seem to avoid direct hits.

I couldn’t imagine being a fan of the opposing side and having to see these 20 mph dashes at any second, and then he can go over the top of your secondary easily with Nabers/BTJ

shi*e is crazy

I swear some of you have never watched football before. Even Tom Brady averaged more than one incompletion every three passes. I can’t fathom what you guys bitch about on a daily basis when you aren’t online criticizing things you don’t understand.

The long TD last night where he made one cut to blow past the safety was nuts.
He set that fricker up from like 15 yards out. I mean what the hell? Most RBs do that whole, "juke you just as you're getting to me" thing........not JD. "frick it, I'll just fool you from 15 yards out and you'll past me 5 yards to my right" kinda bullshite.

I observed the guy as MINOR imperfection. And shite, in the grand scheme of the insane shite he's doing on the field, it's VERY minor.

Glad you said that, I thought the same thing last night.

And a lot of guys run out of gas on a long run and get caught just shy of the goal line. Not Daniels, 85 yard sprint.
After the commercial break the camera showed him on the sideline and he was breathing normally, no signs whatsoever of having just run 85 yards at full speed and having played nearly three quarters of football.

It’s hard to respect both the deep ball and the qb run. Not many teams can do both. If JDs passing is on, his running benefits.
