I’ve heard LSU coaches make a lot of comments over the years, but…

I’ve never heard one say “We’re not the team I thought we were.” I don’t know about all of you, but, to me that is very disturbing. I hope they can get it turned around, but like a lot of people have pointed out, I’m not sure you can fix all the problems we saw last night during the season.

I actually like the transparency and saying exactly what we are all thinking

If they can’t recruit it won’t get solved. It’s that simple.

The current class we have committed is weak

Yeah, hearing Kelly say he sensed the team didn’t feel right coming out of halftime and that it was a coaching issue was also very alarming.

We’ll see.

I’m holding on to the hope that FSU is really that good.

But there weee some disturbing things last night.

D line got owned for lost of the game. We schemed our best defensive player into obscurity. WR drops were killers. Still can’t field a punt cleanly. Play calling in the red zone was bad.

We knew the secondary was going to be an issue. Luckily, we probably wont face a WR corps that good for the rest of the year.

At least we made it competitive last year and shouldve won, but this year it was just a beating on the line of scrimmage.
Is it a matter of FSU just improving more than LSU?
It felt like we digressed on the LOS and we knew secondary would be an issue.
But i was expecting improved QB play and it was the same JD, hanging onto the ball too long, not having confidence or dropping his eyes and not getting timing plays.

I really think FSU will be in the playoffs so I’m not worrying as much as others.

What we saw last night is exactly why ND fans wanted his arse gone. BK is nothing but a smooth-talking bullshitter that lived off of beating shite teams for decades.

does declaring you and everyone you hired and coach spent all summer coasting into this game make it better? He gets paid too much money to have spent 3 months fishing and on the golf course not knowing what he had with his team.

So why not give Nuss a chance to wake up the sleeping Tigers? Sometimes a change, a spark, works out. What we saw last night was a weak, heartless team.

not being critical toward you,
but this sounds very similar to what was said about the teams performance after last years game against FSU.

just sayin

I didn’t see any of the projected contenders opening with an opponent who was also a contender in week 0 or 1. Again.

“Maybe” it’s time to take a step back and schedule a tuneup game out the gate. We clearly could have used that last night.

That comment wasn’t for anyone but the team. He wanted them all to hear that.

I loved hearing it and the players and coaches needed to hear it. I hope he is mad as hell this week.

Yeah well that isn’t happening for the next two years! USC then Clemson. It’s ridiculous with as tough as the SEC schedule is to open the season against top 10 teams.

I’ve also never heard about a defensive front talking about how soft the right side of an offensive line is and how they bout to eat during a live broadcast. Just all around crazy stuff last night.

Only way that statement would make sense is if the coaches felt players didn’t give 100%. However, that usually wouldn’t be every aspect of the game. The only way to ‘fix’ every group would be of the coaches were just so incompetent that players are in the wrong position or running offenses and defenses that just don’t fit the players. Again, very unlikely. This team will have to run gimmicky schemes in attempt to minimize losses.
