Fans on here are about to find out the hard way next season that Kelly isn’t going to all of a sudden become an “elite” coach. Nothing about the past 3 seasons has shown that he can compete with blue blood programs in big games (and no, the ‘22 Alabama game was an extreme outlier). He continually gets his arse handed to him by teams that match us in talent and coaching. If you honestly think that the upcoming transfer class is going to change that, then you’re a goddamn idiot.
Kelly’s eventual downfall won’t be because he wasn’t able to get elite talent, it’ll be because he’s an incredibly lazy coach who expects his assistants to do all of the game planning/scheme devising.

frick that SEC it just means more shite. I want them all to lose. LSU competes head to head for recruits against all of them. I don’t mind some winning minor bowls if they are behind LSU, but I’m never rooting for them to finish ahead of LSU in anything.

It takes a lot more money to win today than ever before and LSU just doesn’t have the resources of quite a few in the league.

You are correct. Now is the time. Everyone has been chasing Alabama and Ga for a few years. Both are going down the mountain now and LSU has the opportunity to climb up in their place. Can Kelly make that happen. I think he might, but not without the balls/insight to upgrade his coaching staff. LSU has some very weak links, and their product is holding LSU back. I personally think Kelly is a 'let's continue what we are doing and try to do it better' kind of coach......9-4 is really a darn good season type coach.
