That Clemson and Ole Miss fans get to come to Baton Rouge and have a wide range of hotels to choose from that are minutes from Tiger Stadium. I’m tired of having to go to these podunk “cities” where you either have to pay $1400 for a Hampton Inn or have to stay 40 miles away. Rant over.

Clemson was a decent experience, until I found out the only Uber driver in the entire town was a deaf guy and everything closes immediately after the game

Stayed at Grenada Ms a few years back.
All I remember is that mexican restaurant across the Walmart had strong margaritas and the hotel was crappy. Good trip besides Matt House forgetting what a defense is

It’s the difference between going to a college TOWN, and going to a southern city that has a college/university.

There’s a lot of true college towns that aren’t just in the middle of nowhere. Chapel hill being an example. True college town but a million hotels nearby and easy in and out (great experience when I went for UNC vs LSU regional)

Don’t kid yourself - BR has a TON of hotels. More than enough to handle even the biggest game weekend crowds.

i am in oxford basically each summer for travel ball and we stay in a hotel by oxford HS.
prices are fine.

Just saw some air bnbs — nice; we’ve rented through the company before — for 700 per night. Not you have two or three couples for 3/3 that’s not so unreasonable. Still saw one that was $1700 per night.
