It's more obvious than ever; Sankey should be fired immediately.

He's clueless; admitted he hasn't even read the 5 for 5 rule; how can the SEC commissioner not stay informed about rule changes.
And yet the SEC files a lawsuit against LSU?
What a misfit.

My only wish is that lsu would file a counter.

Not only that. His job as a commissioner is to be a Non-biased leader of the league and be emotionally intelligent enough to not let emotions cloud judgement.
He’s proven to be the exact opposite of that and emotionally vindictive.
There is no way he can treat LSU fairly after all this.

Sankey isn’t acting on his own he’s being put up to this by the other school presidents. He can catch all the blowback so they don’t have to, shows what we’ve all known for years: the SEC commissioner being “unbiased” is bullshite

Was he forced to talk today?

Can someone get the Sankey clown shirts printed so everyone can have one Saturday.

Sankey acknowledged he didn’t even understand the 5 in 5 rule. But is suing LSU over the rule in question.
Gross incompetence and now a perceived personal vendetta

If true you can see how truly scared the other schools are…

If Sankey survives this fiasco it is further proof that the SEC is the evil empire.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills between this and the baby murderer case today. A horrible day for America.

I remember the SEC denied a request when an LSU basketball player died for his teammates to attend his funeral. Dale Brown brought them anyway and told them to f themselves.
This is mainly about the two former ole miss players wanting to come to LSU. That’s it.

Whether you think LSU is right or wrong, he really looked like a gigantic liar or the most incompetent person ever when he said that on the stand. Both are horrible options. And when he said that, it made the SEC's posturing seem incredibly weak.

It will be funny if LSU wins millions from the SEC in a countersuit

if his claims are baseless, he should be FIRED IMMEDIATELY.....

Sankey should be fired, but currently it’s 15-1 from SEC members supporting him today.
He should be fired over the current SEC TV contract. The SEC has on average 20% more viewers per game and yet the B1G payout is nearly $10M more per school this calendar year. Incompetence on the most important item should be a 16-0 vote to remove and ensure he doesn’t get to negotiate next contract in 2034!

Goodell is hated by the fans, coaches, players, and most of the owners. But he does the dirty work for the owners. So his job is safe.
Same for Sankey

He's not suing them on the 5 for 5 rule. He's suing them over whatever rule dictates NFL athletes are not eligible to play.
The 5 for 5 rule clearly states all Class of 22 athletes that have used up their eligibility under the previous rules are no longer eligible under the new rules.
It may be semantics but in my opinion these are important "facts" of the case that everyone overlooks due to their emotional ties to the situation.
In the end I think all of this is legal gamesmanship and political theatre designed to push the Save College Sports Act across the finish line.
