Sorry but Bama is not considered a lateral move and deep down you know this. Take off the purple and gold glasses. Florida and Auburn would be lateral moves but Bama isn’t.

Pretty sure there is language that states he can't leave LSU to become a dc within a certain mileage.

Correct

From the Advocate

"Aranda does not have to pay a buyout if he leaves for a head coaching job. He must pay 50 percent of his remaining salary if he leaves for a non-head coaching job in the Southeastern Conference or “a Football Bowl Subdivision football program within a 500 miles radius of LSU,” the contract reads..."

Are we going to pretend that Alabama can't afford to pay that for him?

But why? His defense gave up 74 to *Tm. No way he goes for Aranda.

And bama can kiss our collective asses!

Do you not think we would pony up to keep him? Besides, he is already considered one of the brightest minds in coaching. He doesn't need to work under Saban to promote his career and he calls his own shots here. It would be much different at Bama where he would be working for a control freak who has a reputation of being hard on his staff.

LSU had the same amount of losses in 2015, Les Miles final year, as they did this year.

We can thank the media for over hyping Auburn, Miami and UGA for our final ranking.

Have a nice day.

You don't know this. You can't possibly know this. Yet you're ok with denigrating the entire program. Typical

That would be a bad matchup - Little Hitler & Aranda - if he come after him, it is strictly to get him away from the Tigers knowing that with the D potential talent next year & improved O, the Tigers will be a tough weekend. Of Aranda is all about the money, maybe he can handle the little guy for one year before he takes a HC job the next.

I would like to think he has developed a tie with LSU & will stay until the right HC job comes along.

yes it is. Bama has Saban thats the only thing that separates them from the big 6 in the conference. So the only reason Aranda would leave is because to coach under Saban? Thats disrespectful to Dave Aranda IMO.

i think aranda is smart enough not to go..... found it interesting during the NC game that bama has been through 20+ assistant coaches in the last 4 or so years where clemson has only been through 3! That ought to tell you how much of an arse saban is to work for. Aranda seems like a smart man

We also got blown out by Arkansas and Ole Miss in 2015.

And let's face it, LSU got the loss against aTm because of some bogus calls or they would have had 11 wins. The Bama game was LSU's only bad performance of the year.
