This is correct. Most posters here predicted a blowout over Wisconsin, and I cautioned against that. I thought we'd win, but I knew it wouldn't be a blowout.
And I feel the same about BYU. We should win, but they play tough football and won't be a pushover.

I'm not saying BYU will be a blowout or not a tough game, but Wisconsin was a top 10 team. No, we didn't think they would be, but these comparisons of BYU to Wisconsin are ignoring that fact.

Last year was LAST year....Our offense was so predictable last year my 10 year old brother were calling out plays LITERALLY...Miles didn't change and that is what happens talent only takes you so far...all Canada has to do is use his players ( hint 4 & 5 star recruits) and Aranda keeps the defense good there is no doubt in my mind that we can be in the 10-2, 11-1, hell even 12-0 range its simple football stop overthinking

it seems that every year some in our fan base belittle our competition. they are almost always wrong. BYU consistently brings their A game and gives their top opponents hell.
if Miles was our HC I would say we would be lucky to win this game. thank goodness we have an OC that should make them earn anything they get. I say LSU comes from behind to squeak out a W.

We may not be ranked now, but based off of improvements from last year, we are a Top 25 level team.
We may not be Wisconsin but I guarantee you that we will match their physicality in the trenches. Its the area of speed and depth where we are at a disadvantage to LSU.
Oh, and we also play Wisconsin 2 weeks later.

BYU beat Mississippi State 28-21 last year, which was more than our margin of victory over that same opponent.

You people are forgetting (2) key factors in that game at Wisconsin being close bc it really shouldn't have. Etling wasn't the QB in that game and we still has Les Miles and Cam F'n Cameron as coaches. A blowout no but we should have won by at least 10 points.
I'm not going to say we blow out BYU because you just never know. I do think we shut them down in the run game and make it extremly difficult to pass, therefor pull away in the end. IMO those (2) key factors are huge. GT

Much of our victory over Miss State was due to them having to travel all the way to Utah on a short week for a late night game (You should have seen Dan Mullen in his post game presser, lol). I guess we'll see how much of a difference that made when we travel to Starkville on Oct 14th.
