A child. The fact that you still defend both the molester and the university tells me all I need to know. You really don't see a problem with it, which is horrible.

Defending the right to job/baseball =/= defending his actions. Nice straw man argument.

No shite. This is pretty eye opening. They tried the approach that the people that want him kicked off the team just aren’t woke enough to have a valid opinion. Makes you wonder. Why would anyone pander to perps of sex crimes. Why not make sure the families and victims had the support to lead a good life and not the sex offenders?

I’ve actually thought about this as well. Most farm teams are in smaller areas. These are mostly working class, family people. Can you imagine the public outcry if this pederast freak were on a team in Springfield Missouri? Tulsa Oklahoma? The Inland Empire? This dude would need a security detail nonstop

Not to mention that most of these bus league teams promote a family-friendly atmosphere. It’s the prime selling point for the bulk of them.

I’m not sure how many MLB organizations would be willing to saddle one of the lower farm teams with this guy and jeopardize that. They’d face a possible revolt from ownership and management within their own organization.

As I said, the fact that someone needs to explain to you why a child molester shouldn't be on a college athletic team is just pathetic.

Quit whining about people disagreeing with you.

Murderers shouldn’t get a 2nd chance just because they are minors. Child molesters...especially when the child is very young (4 years old) fit that category.

I realize you are more concerned with the rights of the minor offender. I dont share that concern. It’s a sad situation all around. You seem unwilling to accept the realities of the sad situation.

And, seeing the guy now deny it just makes me realize that this isn’ lt a case of rehabilitation. This isn’t a guy who has undergone intense therapy and is saying that he is rehabilitated. No, he is now saying it never happened. frick him.

Look in the mirror buddy. You are defending a child molester because you only care about the situation. Baseball player or not he is a sick individual. Win or lose this regional no matter what Oregon State University are the real losers by allowing this disgusting sick individual to play and represent their university.

A man who molested a 6 year girl is wearing an OSU uniform and is your star player on national tv. Let that sink in.

I never asked you to explain WHY someone shouldn't be on the team. Subjection doesn't validate an argument for bounds of actually having grounds to remove them. He has violated no team or university rules. How many times do I have to explain? You have no argument outside of (albeit correct) moral standpoint.

Actually he failed to report out-of -state travel, which he was required to do as a registered sex offender. As a result an arrest warrant was issued and the newspapers did some investigating and the news media went wild with the story.

You mean ones that were caught? Who knows. In the case of Luke it was an accident that it got unsealed and if it hadn't you wouldn't have known about it. So the answer is maybe more than you think.

My bad-you are correct-he got caught because he didn’t update his sex offender status, for which he pleaded guilty. In legal terms, that means he did in

He actually didn’t, the police department made a mistake.

Why would something that fricked up remain sealed? It’s pretty sad and I hope karma comes back around when it’s time for the big league and nobody picks him up.

Things remained sealed in juvenile cases depending on different state laws. In the case of Luke they do not charge any juveniles with felony charges and instead use adjudication where the cases are sealed. But, its not unheard of as many states seal juvenile cases depending on crimes, etc.

Rest assured when my head it’s the pillow at night it ain’t going to be after wasting mental energy defending child molesters and defending those who make excuses for them.

It’s one thing to add material facts to a story and let people know more about what happened but don’t think for a second we are just going to magically pander to pedophiles and make excuses for him bc we have new information and the legal system is unfair so in turn we should just lift this dude up like he is some fuking survivor in all this shite.

It’s a privilege to represent a university not a right. He doesn’t have a right to shite after what he did and needs to be exploited in the eyes of the public. That’s a remedy for preventing people from commtting these acts. You on the other hand are making the problem worse. He should be humiliated for what he did. Clubs should be taking a hard look at what he has done in his past.
