Not to mention that Ole Miss didn't play teams like Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, or A&M. The only great team they played was Georgia and they did beat them, but they aren't even in the playoff conversation after spending a fortune...

They played South Carolina at South Carolina & stomped them. The same South Carolina that will make the playoffs if they beat Clemson on Saturday & possibly get some help along the way.

I believe Kelly just will refuse to spend the money to get the star players that we need.

They will build a fire under old Bushmills behind and he will rise up , come along and join the new Nil/portal universe of coaching from the cave in Ireland .

I believe it is still true. The issue is with the coaching staff focusing on way more out of state kids. Saban locked this state down…in other words he prioritized LA kids making them feel needed.

This staff does not prioritize in state kids like the staffs in the past did. We have to prioritize kids that want to play here, and make them the nucleus of the team. If you do that, the out of state kids will be beating the doors down to play here.

We are no better than 5th at Best in the SEC and we are battling Ole Piss and Okie for 5th. We are not even close to Bama or Georgia and are not even in the same Universe as Texas or A&M. Probably Top 15-20 in the Country. This is reality and is not going to change. However that does not mean that we cant compete. We have to be smart about how and where we spend what $$ we do have.

I agree with u in general except with bama without saban they are becoming average on the field more and more without saban and as far as nil they are very much now in the lsu boat with being state poor and booster poor.

Bama and LSU are not “booster poor.”

I agree with Kelly. Unloading massive amounts of funds on high school kids is asinine. If we’re going to dump NIL money it needs to be with the top tier transfer guys then supplement with your recruiting class. That’s just the landscape right now.

So next year the top LA kids want 1 million plus. And on it goes. Who is going to continue paying these amounts? The insanity will have to end or college football will collapse.

Lsu with either pay up or die its the way it is now. Everyone can say how insane it is to spend that much money on top players but if you dont you wont compete with the eiite anymore
