LSU as a team really really out kicked their coverage this season. When we get a few weeks out and look back on this and realize how many holes this team had it will really be amazing that we got this far.

There are much more talented teams with less holes that got beat at home in the supers.

Well again I will say Paul should be fired.

i mean, i don't think he should be fired. but i do think he's a shitty coach during the game and when it comes to making lineup decisions and subs.

no reason jordan should have played in this game.

we were close to not making a super for the 4th time in 7 years if we didn't come back against rice.

Poche threw well, but Lange was super hittable.

I chalk it up to a young team facing a scrappy group of upperclassmen. If you compare NC State's schedule to CC's, I thought we had a better match up with CC upsetting NC State. Was obviously wrong. CC and their alum coach have been building their program and they stepped up in BR. Lessons learned for next season for these young Tigers. I like our chances moving forward.

Not saying Paul should be fired because of this year. Been building since 2010 and beyond. To me he is like Les, no excuses next year if Poche comes back and all of the other position players outside of fraley.

Their pitching IMHO was clealry inferior based on coaching confidence.

Debatable

there batting lineup and speed on the bases were better.

yep

Their defense clearly inferior

How do you figure? We made more defensive mistakes than they did.

We stranded runners and couldn't get timely hits

And they could. That's why they're better...and better coached.

We didn't crumble. I wouldn't call that a crumble.

I didn't say he is going anywhere. It would take a blind man to not see that CCU was better coached . That team was focused , motivated , fired up, and disciplined. They knew what to do in every moment. Are you blind???

Uh, because they just beat us 2 in a row at home? I don't see how they aren't at this point.

So did Miss ST and Alabama this year..... Does that mean we aren't better than those two teams? Baseball you have to get hot at the right time. Obviously, in this case, we didn't have it going this weekend. Good for Coastal, but they're no SB. Either way, agree to disagree. Proud of this team.

You can't play baseball uptight. Yet that's what happens when you're the supposed favorite at home.

Kids these days aren't intimidated by environments. They thrive in them. They come in with the underdog mentality and are dialed in.

All the pressure is on you. That makes it difficult. Somehow we've got to learn to overcome that. And not just us. It's happened with other hosts. It happens in other sports. A team with a chip on their shoulders is dangerous. You have to take them out early before they get confidence. We didn't do that.
