I think Canada called plays. I'm saying that was not the same scheme they ran the prior 6 games.

He also knew he was fired at that point as well. So who knows.

When Ensminger calls plays it is from the press box. He was on the field.

no proof and can't be proven so let's just run with this narrative.... OR let's draw a simpler conclusion..Canada isn't very good and never was

Well, Canada has proven to be very good in his career and O admitted to have meddled in the offense.

It's much simpler to draw Fat Bastard's conclusion than yours that Canada was never any good.

Is that really your best answer?

When Ensminger was promoted to oc last year he moved from the sideline to the press box. When he calls plays he doesn’t do it from the field. Let me guess he did it for just that one bowl game when his whole career proves otherwise.

Are you really complaining about his offense vs Bama and AU?

Yes, it being marginally better than Cam is not it being good. In no universe is 10 points and 300 yard against Alabama good and in no universe is 20 points and 363 yards of offense any better than average. According to folks like you, Canada is a great offensive coach. That is, in no way, great.

He most certainly didn't have any control the ND game.

The Tennessee game was a monsoon incase you don't remember we had a short field all night too. Hard to rack up yards when you start on the 50.

yeah, I was there. We didn't have a short field all night. We had a short field for 21 of our 30 points, though. Thank god they muffed 2 punts and went for it deep inside their own territory or we were looking at a close and low scoring game. And it wasn't a monsoon the entire game. We should have run all over that defense. We went 3 and out 5 times in that game.

Here's our drive chart
L25 punt
L30 punt
T15 FG
L25 punt
T19 touchdown
L29 punt
L39 touchdown
L25 missed fg
L50 touchdown
L30 punt
T21 touchdown
L12 missed fg
L47 end of game

We sustained three drives of more than 4 plays. We started 3 of 13 drives on their side of the field. The rain was very light in the first half. The monsoon started during halftime and lasted through the first few minutes of the second half and then was a light rain. I promise, I sat through the whole fricking thing and it sucked, but the weather was no excuse for how terrible our offense was in that game. We just looked completely out of sync on offense.

You mean the bowl game when we were trying to pretend Canada was still our OC?

I knew O and Canada were chippy with each other going back to that 4th and goal fail in the BYU game. I was at the game. you can tell Canada was fighting with O on the play call. at the point I was like this might not work.

306 yards vs Bama against 125 is just marginal?

well, if Steve doesn't work, they're both gone. If he does work, then I guess everyone will be happy

Tennessee outgained LSU 287-284 but managed just 38 rushing yards. LSU’s average starting field position was its own 43, 23 yards better than the Volunteers’.

So I was off by 7 yards

Canada was gone way before the bowl game bubba. Ensminger calls plays from the box I don’t know how it can be any more clear. He was on the sideline.

We totaled more yards this year and points than we did in 2016. Without fournette and with a very hamstringed Guice

We averaged 0.9 fewer ppg this year than last and 12.0 fewer ypg this year than last. Not sure where you're getting your numbers

Totaled man. Not Averaged. And everybody knew at the beginning of the year that we would most likely struggle on offense which usually comes with the territory of completely swapping an offensive philosophy.

you know that average is heavily weighted by three drives that started around the UT 20 right? I already posted where all the drives started. only 3 started inside UT territory. 10 of them did not.
